FIVE FROM THE U.S., FIVE FROM
CANADA, USE SPECIAL SAND BROUGHT
IN FROM A QUARRY IN HUDSON TO
CREATE THESE MASSIVE DISPLAYS.>>THIS ACTUALLY IS ONE OF THE
BEST YEARS WE HAVE HAD SINCE I
HAVE BEEN DOING THIS, 18 YEARS. ALL THE SCULPTORS ARE HAPPY. WE HAD THE WEATHER WITH US WHICH
WAS A PLUS. TIM: THIS YEAR SAW LARGE CROWDS
OF LOCALS AND TOURISTS WHO
LOOKED ON IN AWE AT EACH PIECE.>>I COME DOWN STARTING
WEDNESDAY AND TAKE NIGHTLY
PICTURES TO POST FOR MY FRIENDS
SO THEY CAN SEE THE PROGRESS

COMPETED AT HAMPTON MULTIPLE TIMES AND PASSED AWAY LAST YEAR. HIS SON MARC TOOK HOME THE
SCULPTORS’ CHOICE AWARD,

REALLY DID IT FOR MY DAD. THEY ALL VOTE FOR ME. THAT MAKES SOMETHING AWESOME. TIM: CERTAINLY WAS A SPECIAL
NIGHT FOR MARK AND HIS FAMILY. THIS WAS THE 18TH YEAR FOR THE
SAND SCULPTING CLASSIC.
