Glass is a really kind of magical and
seductive material. Working with glass hot is a really kind of endlessly challenging process that I’ve really been drawn to. It’s almost like a living material that you’re constantly reacting to. When you come to ccs you get to spend
your full four years studying glass and so you’re really able to accumulate a
wealth of knowledge here and try a lot of different things and kind of zero in
on what you’re most interested in. I love teaching glass because you’re getting to introduce students to the possibilities of this material that’s not that
well-known. I’m really interested in expanding the
potential of what can be done with glass.
