Tips for Using the Stampin’UP! Mini Trimmer

Tips for Using the Stampin’UP! Mini Trimmer

hi this is Katie Johnson I just opened
my pre-order and there are two items that I just got that I would like to
show off with you today. First let me explain what I mean by pre-order. As a
demonstrator I get to see the catalogues before everyone else I’ve had these in
my possession since November and as a demonstrator I get to order things early
from these things. So I already have Sale-a-bration items in my hand and I
already have items from the new spring catalog in my hand . . . including, just look
at these gorgeous dies here that make layered flowers. I’m so excited to be
able to play with these things. What I’m going to show you today is a paper pack
of 6×6 papers and a little mini paper trimmer. These 6×6 papers, this is a
sampler of things that are in that new catalogue that I just showed you. Look at
these aren’t those gorgeous gorgeous flower things. Oh and some of these are
super fun, look at those little pineapples and the shoes. I love this one
with the paper with um with the purses and then these cute little animals. And
there’s some great things in here for birthdays . . . and I gotta find the back of
it, here look at that isn’t that golfing great. Anyway these are 6×6 samples of
the 12 by 12 papers that are in the big catalogue. This is intended as a
selling tool because these two items are part of a special that will be available
in January for people who purchase the starter kit. You’re going to get it
for free if you joine during Sale-a-bration, and as a demonstrator I can pre-order this now. By the way if you buy the starter kit now in December you
would be able to purchase these items now ahead of time. I also wanted to show
you this mini paper trimmer because I’ve had people already comment – some of the people
in my downline – those are people who purchased the starter kit from me.
Some people have commented “well you know this is a little paper cutter how much
good can it be”? and I just want to show you how great this little paper cutter
is. First of all it has a guillotine arm which is pretty strong and it can cut
through several layers of paper at one time. Let me show you with a couple
samples here. I think my brain is already thinking about Valentine’s
because I pulled out some Blushing Bride and some Rich Razzleberry.
The size of the bed here is four and a quarter which is a normal card size, and
then it’s six inches this way. Which means that it’s perfect for taking in
one of these little 6×6 paper samplers that we got. I’m not going to cut up
these papers yet. But it also means that you cannot put that full-size sheet of
paper in without folding it. But not a problem because like I said this
guillotine arm is really strong. So let me just show you. I using my bone
folder to make a nice crisp crease in this paper. Take the blushing bride out
of the way. Here is now a half sheet of paper which easily fits under the arm,
and I just line it up here at this four and a quarter mark. Listen to the sound.
Isn’t that great? It makes a nice strong cut right through those two pieces of paper.
And now I’m ready to go to make two cards. This would open up for a vertical
card this way and horizontally it would open up this way. Now, you can do the same
thing by creasing your fold, making your fold in that full-sized sheet of paper
the other way. Let me show you that. So if I were to fold the paper the long ways, by the way if you don’t have a bone
folder you need one, all right so now this paper is definitely gonna easily
fit through that arm. But the problem that I now encounter or the challenge
that I now encounter is not knowing exactly where that five-and-a-half mark
is because this only goes over to four and a quarter. So what I’ve done is I’ve
taken a regular sized sheet of paper and I’ve cut it up into a quarter. It’s now
regular card size four and a quarter by five and a half and I’m just going to
lay this on here and now I know exactly where to put my piece of paper in to make my cut. aAnd once again I’m ready to
go for two cards. So this will open as a standard horizontal card or a standard
vertical card. Guys this is going to be my go-to for traveling. It’s just perfect.
It fits so easily into a pocket of my craft bag. Sometimes that long area in
the middle gets filled up with boxes where I’ve got other supplies and
it’s kind of hard to squeeze my paper trimmer into there. It’s perfect for
cutting through, for those of you who are scrap booker’s it’s perfect for cutting
through photographs. So yeah, I’m loving this. This is great. Once again
as demonstrators we can purchase this now. For people who buy the starter kit
in December, yes you could purchase this now in December. If you purchase the
starter kit during any time during Sale-a-bration, this along with the papers
is one of the free items you’ll get. So thanks for watching, if you have any
questions at all please leave a comment below and feel free to contact me with
any questions about the starter kit about this particular little trimmer
here and I hope you have an INKredible day, bye you
