The Real Reasons Why Main Characters Left NCIS | ⭐OSSA

NCIS has been on TV for 15 years, and it seems
its popularity is only increasing with time. During this time we’ve seen many good and
bad things happening on the screens, including the departure of our favorite actors. Prepare to hear plenty of spoilers now, so
if you haven’t seen the show yet, be careful! In this video we’re gonna tell you why the
main characters left the NCIS! And before we start – we share new exciting
celebrity videos every weekday, so be sure to subscribe to our channel and ring the bell
to get notified about our latest videos. Sasha Alexander was the first main character
to leave the ‘NCIS’ cast. She played the part of a Secret Service-turned-NCIS agent Caitiln
Todd. Sasha Alexander confessed that she doesn’t
regret leaving NCIS. However, Alexander told Zap2It she hasn’t
even had to think her decision over later on, even though the programme has quite high
ratings now. “The show did very well from the beginning,”
she said. “We were consistent, but for whatever reason, it didn’t get press coverage then.
I always thought it was a great show.” Alexander also said that she is “not surprised”
about NCIS’s success and explained: “It travels really well, no matter what country it’s shown
in. There’s a fun quality to it and people can relate to that. To me, NCIS has always
been a bit of a comic book.” She added: “Do I regret leaving? I absolutely
don’t, for a million reasons that I’ve never spoken about… for a million reasons that
I can’t. I had a wonderful time doing it for two years, though.” In 2010, Sasha Alexander turned back to the
procedural genre in TNT’s ‘Rizzoli&Isles,’ with the part of a fashion-conscious medical
examiner. And it seems like she was totally satisfied
with the show, as she had worked through all the 6 seasons! Although de Pablo is not Israeli, her Ziva
David is one of the most outstanding Israeli characters in pop culture. The reason why everybody’s favorite Cote de
Pablo left the show is less prominent. “Unfortunately, because of political things
and the scripts not being good enough, I chose not to [stay]. I love this character. I worked
eight years in crafting this character and loving her, so when I felt or I perceived
the character was not being treated with the respect that she deserved, all the money in
the world couldn’t buy [me].” It is definitely disappointing that we didn’t
even get to touch base with Agent Ziva after Cote de Pablo de[arted from the show in the
beginning of Season 11, it would have been even more disappointing if she settled for
a last-minute cameo instead of following her own wishes. Earlier this year at an appearance at Babson
College, Cote de Pablo also revealed what NCIS was thinking of doing with Ziva, had
the actress not decided to leave. And it looks like the star was meant for a
future without the CBS drama. “They were going to send her back to Israel
and make her an unfortunate, miserable woman. I said well what do I leave all the women
who have watched and followed the show? I didn’t think it was fair. And so I said, ‘Until
someone can really write something fantastic for her, I won’t come back” Cote de Pablo then played in the ‘The Dovekeepers,’
a 2015 CBS miniseries from the producers of “The Bible,” about the standoff by Jewish
rebels against the Roman army, and about the siege of Masada. Michael Weatherly confessed that he decided
to leave NCIS due to the departure of Cote de Pablo from the show and due to his desire
to grow professionally. “Their great dynamic, the badinage and sparring
and flirting between [Tony and de Pablo’s Ziva] and how they would swing from siblings
to near lovers and back to buddies, that was gone, and then I got to the point where I
felt I’d stayed at the party for too long. I would look around the room and other people
were really in sync and having fun. The show was a huge success, but I just suddenly realized
that I probably had other things that I should be doing. And then the wanderlust set in.
I directed a documentary. I have a production company. And I wanted to spend time with my
family” So it looks like that one of the main reasons
for his departure popped up when Cote de Pablo’s Ziva also left the CBS drama in the 11th season. After that specific relationship no longer
went on, Michael started feeling as if Tony DiNozzo’s time on NCIS pretty much came to
an end. There is something sad about him comparing
his time on the show to overstaying at the party. Parties are not to grow old, and DiNozzo
is not to get bored. Nevertheless, his decision to leave the series
wasn’t the lightest to make. Later in one of the interviews, Michael confessed
that his departure from NCIS was a sad one, and it was for his acting skills that he managed
to keep it together during a number of his scenes. Although it is a relief to know that he’ll
spend more time with his family, it’s obvious that he understands that also means leaving
another family behind. In September 2016, Michael Weatherly started
headlining ‘Bull,’ his own series, inspired by Dr. Phil McGraw’s pre-talk show days as
a jury consultant. Jennifer Esposito is departing from the CBS
drama NCIS after one season as a series regular. Esposito was first introduced in the 14th
season of the NCIS last fall. She played the NCIS special agent Alexandra “Alex” Quinn. “It was a great experience,” Esposito
told Deadline. “I could not have asked for a better opportunity than to work with the
NCIS cast and producers.” The reasons why she left the show are still
unclear, but we might find that out a bit later. Earlier Jennifer has also left Blue Bloods,
having appeared in 2 of the 3 main detective shows on TV. What’s next? Do you think we
can expect her appearance in Criminal Minds? As soon as Pauley Perrette announced her departure
from NCIS, fans immediately started suggesting why it happened. Let’s turn back to October, 2017, when the
actress confirmed her intended departure. Perrette announced the news on Twitter, where
she dispelled rumors that she was leaving NCIS in order to promote a line of skin care
products. “So, it is true that I am leaving NCIS after
this season. There have been all kinds of false stories as to why (NO I DON’T HAVE A
SKIN CARE LINE AND NO MY NETWORK AND SHOW ARE NOT MAD AT ME!),” wrote Perrette. “It
was a decision made last year. I hope everyone will love and enjoy EVERYTHING ABBY not only
for the rest of this season but for everything she has given all of us for 16 years. All
the love, all the laughter, all the inspiration … I love her as much as you do.” What inspired this random skin care-centric
rumor? It was probably Perrette’s September 2017
appearance on Inside Edition, where she talked about something completely unrelated to NCIS:
how she has been a victim of skin care advertisements who want to make money out of her “flawless
complexion” in order to sell their products. One company even made a news headline that
read “Pauley Perette AKA Abby Scuito is Leaving NCIS to Pursue Skin Care Line – See Which
Anti-Aging Product She Really Uses!” The 49-year-old actress definitely doesn’t
look her age, yet, some brands and publications have taken the secret of her maintenance of
such a youthful glow way too far. “It’s a fake company. It’s a scam,” explained
Perrette. “I have people, hundreds and hundreds of people, asking questions about why I would
pick a skin care line over my job. People are getting scammed and no one can catch these
people.” The true reason of her departure from the
show is very simple. Pauley realized that it’s time for her to move on. Having worked
at the same place for 14 years seems a bit too long, doesn’t it? “I believe in God and the universe so firmly,
and it just suddenly became blindingly apparent that now was the time,” Perrette told in an
interview with TV Insider, confirming that she had no hidden meaning
in her announcing on social media her plans to leave the show. “After a lot of thought,
I decided to announce it myself on Twitter because I didn’t want it to be turned into
anything ‘shocking.’ Abby leaving is more than a cheap TV ploy.” Perrette’s character will be missed in NCIS,
as she’s left Ducky and Mark Harmon’s Leroy Gibbs the only remaining original cast members,
but she’s definitely had a great impact on the fans and the series, which won’t be forgotten
any time soon. We are hoping that after a sufficient rest,
Pauley will appear in some other TV show! Starting from season 2 and all the way to season 5, the Naval Criminal Investigative
Service was overseen by director Jenny Shepard (Lauren Holly), the ex girlfriend and partner
of the team leader Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon). We are not sure of the reasons, but the rumor
is the actress herself wanted so. It was sort of a mix of reasons, one stating
that Lauren Holly wanted to leave after different roles, and try more movies as well. Also, Jenny Sheppard had a degenerative genetic
diseasse, as it was hinted in several episodes. The character wasn’t to stay too long anyways,
and the directors wanted to finish the season with a big bang, and that involved killing
someone off. After leaving the show, Lauren Holly starred
in plenty of movies and TV shows which only proves our guess.
Anyways, we are happy she’s found herself and is definitely doing what she likes! But we also have good news, which you probably
already are aware of! NCIS fans, it’s time to meet Diona Reasonover.
The 26-year-old star made her NCIS debut in the 15th season, but she is back for season
16 as Kasie Hines being a series regular. Reasonover joins the cast right after Pauler
Perrette’s departure from NCIS. Perrette’s Abby and Reasonover’s Kasie shared scenes
together, and Perrette gave Reasonover some advice. “Pauley was so sweet when I met her. She told
me to just be myself, really. She was like, just bring yourself to this role. She has
been, I think, such a wonderful grounding force on this show. She’s a really kind, generous person in real
life,” said Reasonover. Comment below what you think about all these
news! Thanks for watching! Check out these other great stories from OSSA

  1. without abby, ziva, and tony, ncis lost cis,the only thing is left is just an,N!!! gibbs is there because he is the producer now!!

  2. Everybody loves everybody and they all had a most excellent time.
No hard feelings, no rivalries, no jealous conflicts, it is a whole perfect heavenly world 🙂
    Yeah, right . . .

  3. I feel Ziva left cause of the role was starting to over shadow Gibbs. When he started calling her Ziver not respectful at all you can't have a nic name for Ziva just not possible. So maybe Ginbs will go on vacation then she will come back for a few. Ziva always loved Paris. Ellie will meet her there just a guess

  4. I am still watching NCIS , so far I love it, well Dinozzo hasnt leave yet, but let me say this, when he leaves I will leave too.

  5. The real NCIS is much different than the show. They let pedophiles out of the brig after less than a year with no classification of dangerous sexual persons. They sabotage all major cases. Call NCIS up. They call Navy kids "Navy brats". 61 percent of military prisoners are child molesters yet 100 percent of the show makes them look like James Bond. Call NCIS at work. Ask them why they are pro child rape.
NCIS head Michael Wiest 1-571-305-9022 (real cocky. says he only answers to President Trump)
    NCIS seattle 1-360-396-4660
    NCIS DC 1-202-433-3858

  6. I think Sean Murray’s McGee should be considered an original cast member because he was in the first season just bit a star.

  7. 49?!?!? Pauley Perrette is 49 damn she looks good for her age which I guess is why she was the subject of scams but damn she literally doesn’t look a day over 30

  8. I need Pauley Perrete to be on the show one more time, this show is not complete with out Pauley. I love her

  9. Oh no. Most watches not because of gibbs but bcoz of dinozzo and ziva with abby's on it. Now I watch it no more.

  10. I hated the fact paulett left the show i LOVED Abby and she was ( in my eyes) the core of NCIS. Thank god they didnt kill ducky and gibbs off yet cuz if that happens i will drop the show. Its not as much fun to watch as it was but hey there trying and the new cast is starting to grow on me hahahah

  11. The new actor are doing a wonderful job,you can not grade them by the others before them. But one sad thing IF Gibbs leaves so long NCIS.

  12. Now that Cote Dr Pabloe (Ziva) has come back to NCIS, I think Michael Weatherly (Tony) will return too! 🤞

  13. Jenny Shepard showed up the beginning of season 3 not season 2 and pauley perrette had 15 seasons on NCIS not 14

  14. Women are never happy, no matter where they are, in hell or paradise. If the entire cast didn't seek attention they would have stayed with NCIS. Why did Ziva leave? Of course, attention seeking women choose wrong decisions, and such decisions is to break viewers/fans hearts. Never happy.

  15. The only ones I hated to see go were Michael and Cote. However, I have continued to watch and enjoy the show. Now, if Mark Harmon ever leaves, they might as well cancel the show, because IT WILL BE OVER!!!

  16. I stopped watching after Ziva left. My parents kept watching. Then I heard Tony was leaving and I wasn't surprised. Then I heard Abby was leaving and I was shocked and sad. After Abby left my mom finally stopped watching. Idk if my dad still watches lol I'm sure he does.

  17. Yes, I absolutely agree with what Cote De pablo said about her character roll as Ziva in NCIS… When Cote left NCIS I feel NCIS wasn't the same without her, Michael Weatherly's character Dinozzo wasn't the same without Ziva – Cote De pablo. I stopped watching the NCIS Series after that. I was a loyal fan of NCIS up to that point. Yes EVERY Actor/Actress parts they played were incredible! Each of their different personalities made it what it is today… An Amazing TV series. However, it wasn't the same for me when Cote de pablo – Ziva left, nor was it when Michael Weatherly – Dinozzo left as well. For me Michael Weatherly's character – Dinozzo was what made the show light hearted, fun. His humour… His character, he played it so Brilliantly. I loved it! Sad but people move on, need to grow…or just search for whats next wait patiently. Either way…. LOVE THEM!!

  18. I still think that Fez needs to go back to That 70s show. I hated it when Sasha Alexander left the showb, it took about half of the third season untill I liked her character.

  19. Cote De Pablo left due to greed. She wanted to make as much as the lead. Since Ziva was the worst character ever I was glad to see the back of her.

Weatherly didn't leave due to De Pablo. And the only reason De Pablo is back is because she hasn't worked since Dove Keepers.

  20. So you were proven to know nothing about why perette left seeing as we know it had nothing to do with the fact she'd been there 14 years but because Harmon's dog bit someone on set so she felt unsafe apparently. Wonder how many more you got WRONG

  21. Don't let the actors blow smoke. Sasha left because she wanted to have a baby. As soon as the daycare was arranged, she was back at Rizzoli & Isles. Cote dePablo left because she wanted Michael Weatherly money. Her agent told producers, she has just as many lines as Michael, therefore she should be paid just as much. Her request went all the way to Les Moonves, CEO of CBS (who pays for the show) and was denied. She left. Weatherly found out he could make more money as a producer of his own show than he ever would as just an actor. And like all actors, they want to control their destiny. I am sure stale creativity had some bearing on it, but ultimately it was about money and control. Jennifer Esposito had poor audience response measurements. In shorter terms just no chemistry with anyone. Perrette played the only character that had not changed, grown or had been updated after 15 years. How long can someone do that? Lauren Holly playing a tough as nails NCIS Director was miscasting at its highest. If you need to get a figurehead in the role, at least cast it correctly. Her agent earned their pay. It increased her visibility and made her marketable again and she got the offers that allowed her to leave asap.

  22. What about Mike Franks, Gerald Jackson, Ned Dormiget, Jackie Vance, Kayla and Jarod Vance, Eli David, Reeves, Rachel Cranston, Jake Malloy, , Pacci, Director Marrow, Paula Cassidy, Agt Lee, Nikki Jardine, Agt Langer, EJ Barrett, Sec Nav Jarvis, Cade, Levin, Diane Gibbs/Fornell/ Etc Abby Borin, Col Mann, Jean Benoit, LaGranui, so many other minor but major characters

  23. Zeva drove me away from NCIS and I never could get back into it. She was the most unlikeable character in a tv show that I've ever seen.

  24. The last two actors they brought on NCIS as Agents , look embarrassed to be there and like they want to finish their scenes and get away from the camera quickly. There is no warmth and no interconnection anymore.

  25. I thought Perette left primarily due to an incapability of working with Mark Harmon any longer? I heard that they fought rather frequently before she left, and she decided that she never wanted to work with him again, especially in the role of Abby who was supposed to be all friendly and snuggly with Gibbs.

  26. Seriously u need to fact check!! "Abby Sciuto, claimed she was physically assaulted on set. In May 2018, as she was exiting “NCIS” after 15 years, she tweeted that she had suffered “multiple” attacks and that she felt her crew was in danger.Jun 7, 2019"

  27. all that police shows are bloody naive especially CIS where main characters always go into action alone even on bigger groups while in reality you have 50-100 cops on 1 man

  28. Please learn how to pronounce the names in the report you are doing. Hard to believe you when you don't have that info correct 🙁

  29. Di Nazo ??? WTF ?? He left because he got his own show…DUHH. Espisito can't seem to hold a job anywhere. The show has been on for 16 years…people will leave…

  30. Cody de Pablo left because they didn't pay her. She plays it professional here but this is not the first time CBS have done this.

  31. The character of Abby was a cross of to many fields, computer scientist, chemical and biological specialist etc. It would take numerous specialists to do what the character does. Great character but I felt no one person would have her expertise.

Gibbs is Leroy not Le Roy.

  32. These reasons are BS … Perrette left after a disagreement with Harmon about his dog wandering all over set menacing cast and crew members

  33. I can sum up the REAL reason the cast members left NCIS: There was NO character growth. They had either regressed, been repressed, or boxed into one dimensional versions of who they started out as. Even the most crude comedian grew up to be an adult. However, on NCIS, that was not allowed. It was almost as though the creators were afraid that if they gave maturity to any character, it would take away from the show and end it. That which is not allowed to grow and mature, will ultimately die.

I hate to say it, but NCIS has become the ("I'll take the #1 value meal with a Coke, please") for viewers who have become used to having the same dish every day, or are too afraid to try anything else.

  34. We know why Pauley Perrette left NCIS her docu about Mark Lane the apologist for JFK's
killer Lee Harvey Oswald didn't get the big warm reception her and her commie buddies
thought it would. A case of who ???? Either way a film about a guy who apologies for a
presidential killer less than two weeks after the murder is too much!

  35. I just get this vibe they're purposely NOT saying something. When strong characters consistently leave, then something is amiss
