Takeuchi Shinobu is an exchange student from Tokyo, Japan and she has just started her exchange studies at SMU. She wishes to start a revision study session as she feels more motivated to study with peers. She recalls from an email from the International Office mentioning about a mobile application called SMUNation that helps exchange students connect with peers. With nothing to lose, she decides to download the application and thus begins her journey with SMUNation. Takeuchi Shinobu wishes to sign up for an account. She begins by proceeding to sign up and fill in her particulars such as username, password, country, gender and language preferred. After registering her account, she is greeted with a dashboard. On the dashboard, she sees an upcoming meetups section as well as recommended meetups. She decides to look for more meetups, and she is able to see a search bar as well as several different categories such as Study, Chill, Travel and Food. She is also able to see a list of Popular Meetups as well as an option to create her own Meetup. She proceeds to create her own meetup. She fills in the name and type of meetup. She is able to decide the meetup limit and provide a short description. She selects the location of the meetup and completes the process. She is then greeted with a view of the meetup she just created. Upon the arrival of the attendees, she proceeds to show them the QR Code for the attendees to scan. She also sees a progress bar which shows the number of attendees which have shown up so far. Once everyone has arrived, she decides to kickstart the session by using the Ice Breaker feature, which has a series of games to allow her to break the ice. She is also able to see what’s around the area as well. Which she then uses to faciliate an impromptu after meetup session. She then proceeds to check out the My City section to find out more. At the My City section, she is able to see all the buildings she has earned so far from the meetups she has participated in. Next, she checks out the SMU Nation section, which showcases cities that are collected by her peers. There is also a leaderboard where she is able to see her ranking. She proceeds to check her profile, where she is able to see her particulars, change her localization option, see the badges she has earned and an inbox containing conversations from her previous meetups.
