Simple Watercolor Landscape Paintings for the Beginner!

Simple Watercolor Landscape Paintings for the Beginner!

Hi my stamping friends. Melissa Kerman here
with Melissa’s Crafting Treehouse. Today’s video will be a bit of a
departure from my normal approach to videos. I’ll narrate just a bit and
during the rest you can watch as I build my water colored landscape scene. So I’m
using six different reinkers for my water coloring and in one container I
have what I need for my sky and trees. That’s the smoky slate, blackberry bliss
and basic gray and in the other container I have my three bluish greens
for my landscape lines, the coastal cabana, Bermuda Bay and pretty peacock. So
I do need to tell you that I’ve never done a landscape of this sort doing
watercolors and it was really fun. I learned a bunch as I did it and I’ll
provide those tips to you along the way and also here at the beginning. So I just
used paint brushes that I had around the house and I just had a cup of water and
some paper towels handy. I hope you enjoy watching me create my landscape! If you enjoyed this video please make
sure to give it a thumbs up, share it with friends, and subscribe to my youtube
channel. To learn more about what I create and offer
check out the description below this video for lots of information and useful
resources. Thanks for joining me today and happy crafting!

  1. This is definitely more than a simple landscape. More like a work of art! I would hang it on my wall! You should have Versamarked the entire thing and put clear over it.

  2. I love watching others watercolor. I should someday take a class. Your work is beautiful. I'm envious because I can't watercolor. I guess I'm going to have to learn how to "practice". Too hard on myself LOL. Thanks for sharing!!

  3. Melissa Kerman, YOU are one talented lady! WOW! These are both TREMENDOUS CREATIONS! It was such fun watching you create these lovely pieces! LOVE the color palette on both of them and the final cards are so, so pretty! Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful video! Thoroughly enjoyed it! HAPPY CREATIN’! (BTW, my birthday is Nov. 23rd!!! Hint, hint n’ haha!) :-))))
