Hello and welcome to the Reading Uni News Show. I’m Emma Scott. This evening Mojos will be filled with music by the music society’s Jazz Ensemble for Jazz and Juice night. Mojos will be offering their cocktail menu and as for the music we sent our crew to check out to see just how rehearsals were going. Hi, I’m Dilraj And I’m Joe and we are the leaders of the Jazz Ensemble and we’re to promote our gig, the Jazz and cocktails night. I think it should be a really nice, chill night. Just bring all your friends and we’ll play some jazz for you. So come on down, Friday 7pm in Mojos. We’ll see you there. The Jazz and cocktails night on Friday this weekend. Jazz and Juice night starts tonight at 7pm in Mojos. Now last week the Reading Uni News Show brought you the RUSU election coverage Here’s a quick recap to tell you just what happened. Hello and welcome to the Reading Uni News Show We’re here at the RUSU elections and we’ll be giving you all of the coverage tonight I’m joined by current president, Jason Dabydoyal. Hello we’re here with Gemma and Dan and now we have last year’s President, Tristen I’m joined now by Mollie Cleaver and Jason Dabydoyal Mollie, you’ve just been voted as our new RUSU president, how are you feeling? I’m literally lost for words this means so much to me. – I’m joined by George who was runner up by 4 votes. 4 votes, how does that feel? Pretty heartbreaking but I know that we did as much as we could I’m really proud of the effort that the whole team put in and I’m really pleased for Mollie, she really deserves it. She’s run a great campaign and she really deserves it so I’m happy for her. We’re joined now by Daisy who’s just been voted as our new activities officer. Daisy, how are you feeling? So, so happy and mainly just like so excited to actually start. I’m just really happy. So first of all, take us through your manifesto. What do you plan on doing? Well one of my first points is adding more cultural celebrations like Eid, Hanukkah adding more to what the current diversity officer did I’m now joined by Georgina Shaw who is a candidate for the welfare officer How are you feeling tonight? Probably very nervous? Yeah I am, a little bit, but we’ve all got on really well as a team and so I’m actually now at the point where I’m just really happy as long as somebody gets it! So that’s all for tonight.
