[STEPHANIE SYJUCO]
If we’re to look at the complexity of
our contemporary culture, our political moment, our lived realities– I want my work to be as complicated as well. That there isn’t just one way to look at it– depending on your perspective,
you’ll see it a different way. And I also wanted to inhabit contradictions. –Alright, fierce. And so, looking at images of protest, we created these composite characters. And so they’re fictions. Black-clad individuals are usually
associated with a very direct action. Is it a character that one finds problematic or is it something that might elicit even
some empathy?

  1. how cliche. and i recall when it was looking like clinton was going to win, after fucking over bernie sanders, and her supporters lecturing trump supporters to accept the results of the election. fucking sore losers.

  2. Why is 90% of the artists this channel showcases just some middle-aged nobodies? I don't give a flying fuck about what some old person has to say.

Where are the 18-25 year-olds? You're naming this season "Art in the Twenty-First Century", why don't you highlight artists primarily raised in the 21st century? Most people born in 2000 are now 18, there are no shortages of young artists out there, how hard are they to find? I bet you could find thousands of artists, even if their medium is mainly digital.
