Origami Yoda Easy Tutorial – Star Wars Origami

Hello Everyone! Today, I will show you how to fold my new model, Origami Yoda! To make this origami Yoda, you need a square piece of paper with a different color on each side. And we’ll start by folding the square vertically. Mark the fold. And unfold. Then fold the square horizontally. Mark the fold. And unfold. Turn the paper to the other side. And fold one diagonal. Mark the fold. And unfold. Then fold the other diagonal. Mark the fold. And unfold. Turn the paper to the other side. And bring the bottom edge to the center. And fold. Turn the paper to the other side again. And bring the two top corners to the center point. Fold Unfold the two corners. And bring this edge to the vertical crease in the middle. Fold. Repeat on the other side. Then open this part. And before that, you want to make a very small fold in the corner here. This is going to be Yoda’s hand. Like this. Then open this part. And we are going to flatten it. Like this. Then we will open here, and we will put this corner inside. Fold this back. And we will invert this fold here. So that you can close again like this. Then repeat the same thing on the other side, except you don’t fold a small corner. Because on this side, Yoda will have a stick. So, open. And flatten. Open a little bit here. Fold this again. Invert this fold. And close back. Then turn the model to the other side. And we are going to take all the layers here And put those tips to the center point. Then mark the fold. Here, like this. And turn the paper to the other side. Next fold the two top corners to the center. And mark the fold well. And now we are going to do Yoda’s ears By making a fold about here. There isn’t any precise location. But it should look a little bit like this. And this fold needs to be parallel to this edge. Then do the other ear at the same level. Mark the fold. Then turn the model to the other side. And now we are going to do Yoda’s eyes. To do that, we will take this tip and put it to the left corner. Mark the fold. And then unfold a little bit. Open this pocket. By pushing with your thumb and you can use your nail to get into the pocket. And then once the pocket is open You want to flatten it. Like this. And it’s going to make a square. The next step is to push the square a little bit upwards. To do that, just put your finger under And move the bottom left corner So that you can put it at the same level as this corner Mark the fold. Then we are going to open this square so that we can see the white of the eye. And we are going to make the eye more slanted. To do that, just fold the top of the eye back. And fold it in two. Like this. And then put the top of the eye upwards. We will repeat the same thing on the bottom of the eye. Fold the bottom of the eye upwards. Fold it in two. Mark the fold. And then pull back to the bottom. So that you get a slanted eye. And we will repeat the same thing on the other side. So take the bottom tip to the right corner. Unfold a little bit. Open the pocket by pushing. And then flatten to make a square. Then once you have your square, move it upwards. Mark the fold. Open the square. Fold the top of the eye down. And fold it in two. Same thing for the bottom of the eye. Fold the bottom upwards. Fold it in two. And fold it again down. So now we’ve got Yoda’s eyes. And we are going to make his mouth and nose. So take the bottom tip and put it exactly between the two eyes. Mark the fold. And the make a small fold to make a small nose. Then lift the model. And now we are going to make a fold here. By following the folds that already exist, so fold again the ear. And then follow the edge of the head. And the important point is this point, here. We are going to make a fold like this. All the way down. Starting from this point. Mark the fold. So here is my fold. And we are going to repeat the same thing on the other side. So fold again the ear. Fold along the head. And we make a fold here. Mark the fold. Then push a little bit. Here. So that you can mark a small fold here at the bottom of the head. Then flatten the model again. Take the arm and invert this fold. Mark the fold. Then make a fold that goes like this from the corner to the bottom of the hand. All the way. Then we are going to make a fold that continues this edge. And we will fold all the layers together. Mark the fold well. Then on the other side We are going to open this like this. And we will bring this crease to this edge. Then after that, you can flatten. Like this. Same as the other side, we will make a fold that follows this edge. And mark the fold very well. And open again. We are going to make Yoda’s stick by making a fold like this. Then make a fold that starts from there and that goes about here. And fold again in two. And now open this and we are going to bring this edge to this edge The model is not going to be flat. So just bring the edges together. And you need to mark the fold until you get to this crease. Like that. Then the next part is to fold again the folds that we made before. Starting from the ears. And we are going to flatten the head like this. And here we want to push inside. Take your time. Push this inside. Try to keep everything together. So you can even flatten it like this on the table if you want. This is what you should get. You should be able to flatten the head like this. And as you can see, it tends to open up. To lock it a little bit, we are going to make a small fold By taking those layers here. And I will leave the upper layer. Just make a small fold Under the head of Yoda. Like this. I’m going to do the same fold on the other side. Here, take this part. And fold it under the head. This is going to help Yoda’s head to stay locked. Fold again the arms. We are going to round the head at the top. Just make a small fold. Like this. Now we are going to thin the ears a little bit To do that, just take your fingers like that Put them here. And with your other hand, just push a little bit, and press. So that you can make the ear thinner. Repeat for the other ear. Your Yoda is almost ready. Now you can put back the stick in front of the coat. You can lift the arm like this. And you can fold the stick in front of the coat. Just follow the stick and fold where the green meets the white. This is going to be a crooked stick, it’s not going to be a straight stick. It’s a wooden stick. You can lift the head a little bit. And your Yoda is complete! Congratulations 🙂 I hope you like this origami Yoda! I also made other Star Wars origami models that you can fold in 5 minutes. Another Yoda. A Darth Vader. And even a StormTrooper. 5. Hey, I really enjoyed watching this video, those paper sounds and your voice make it even better. I'm going to try to fold this later on the weekend. Looks like it's so easy for you to fold something complicated like Master Yoda, very precise and sharp creases) I've just started my own channel and trying to learn to fold more complicated origami objects, your channel is a great help! Keep up the good work, thank you!

May the force be with you:)

PS Nice work on thumbnails, that's something I need to work on for sure!
