Origami Models : Origami Buttonhole Flower

In this clip I will show you how to fold a
buttonhole flower and a leaf. The buttonhole flower starts with an umbrella base except
that the colors side is folded on the inside. Now with the buttonhole flower this was a
seven inch square and the leaf used a size about the same size or a bit smaller. So with
a seven inch square fold a umbrella base with the color on the inside and holding it in
this position fold up the point at this point fold it up into a at an angle. Same thing
on this side fold it up at an angle and then mount and fold actually kind of do a inside
reverse fold with this point, fold it down. It’s really not as complex as I make it.
Basically what we’re doing here was a inside reverse fold from this point. Fold it down
and then we are going to start opening up our flowers by taking two sections and folding
it out like this. Just allow it to open up by itself. It opens up pretty naturally by
itself. And we have the flower and we can round it out a little bit by folding each
of these points to the other side being careful not to tear the paper. So each of these points
we just kind of open it out and invert it and this kind of rounds out the petals of
your flower. And here we have four, five point, six points, seven and then finally the eighth
one. Kind of invert it and then shape your flower a little bit. And you have your buttonhole
flower.
