A classic origami is the origami crane. My
name is Robert Segundo, and today I’m going to teach you how to make that origami crane.
We’re going to start off with our bird base. What we’re going to do is, we’re going to
take, in our triangle from our bird base, we’re just going to go ahead and fold up the
first flap, like so. And fold one side over; I folded two by accident. We’re going to open
the other side up, and fold it up, like so as well, and close it down. And now, before we start working on the wings,
we’re going to go ahead and work on the head and the tail. And to do that we’re just going
to fold the tail down, and we’re going to make it meet this line here. So it’s going
to be almost like a rabbit ear fold; it’s more like a sqwooshed fold. Bring it down,
like so. There’s the tail, flip it over. Do the same thing with the head, giving them
both that equal distance, like so. What we’re going to do is, we’re just going to go ahead
and make the head. Just open this up and fold it down, this is rabbit ear fold, like so.
Just kind of bring it up and adjust the head as you want. Then we’re going to take and
fold the wings up, and we’re going to fold them forward. Focusing off of this point here,
just kind of folding them, like so. Folding this side, like so. Lets fold that back over,
my paper ripped. And there you have it. My name is Robert Segundo, and this is your origami
crane, it’s supposed to fly.
