Origami Baby Drache deutsch Design: Gregor Müller

Welcome to my new tutorial! today we fold a baby dragon it looks like this it’s my own design It’s not as easy as it looks but if you have a little experience, you can finish it! I used handmade paper for this dragon you can use standard origami paper as I did folding this model. use 20×20 cm paper the wings can be folded like this or like this for the tutorial I use 30×30 cm so you can see better what I’m doing, 20×20 is a good size. let’s fold! This is kraft paper I recommend a thin, tear-resistant paper about 60-70 g/sqm my paper is a little bit too thick, but it will work as I’m using 30x30cm fold both diagonals next fold the tip to the middle line but just pinch fold the tip to the pinch you made repeat on the other side pinch imagine a line Between these points and valleyfold use the folds you made as reference fold edge to edge repeat on the other side open turn over fold this edge to the middle line repeat here fold this flap up the edges align like this make a rabbit ear fold here fold this edge to this edge crease up to here repeat here only crease up to here collapse push together fold the small flap to both sides open and repeat on the other flap fold up and align the edges rabbit ear fold this edge to this edge this edge to this edge collapse fold the small flap to both sides take the model mountain fold in the middle and collapse like this fold the tip down crease firmly open and open sink look from above open turn those creases into mountain folds fold along the triangle press here bring the edges together that’s it tada! repeat on the other side fold the tip down unfold open sink I know, most of my models are not very easy to fold but there are so many tutorials for easy models out there but there are not many videos of more difficult models in german language and I try to fill this gap open sink again! make mountain folds of all those creases! open the model like this the model should look exactly like this! next fold this tip to this point open turn over fold this tip to this point turn over fold this tip to this pinch make a mountain fold from this point to this point repeat here take the model this is the most difficult step fold like this press here fold the flap up fold along this edge a mountain fold repeat here mountainfold along this edge turn over collapse like this take this flap fold it down take this flap fold it up press here like this I show again we took this flap fold it down, the small one up repeat on the other side take the small flap press down fold this flap up now the model looks like this open a little, turn over mountainfold from here to here mountainfold along this line fold this flap up fold along this edge a mountain fold repeat here mountainfold along this edge turn over take this flap, fold it up press down here repeat here up here down here this was the difficult part congratiolations if you made it! I show the collapsing process again that’s the crease pattern it looks like this from above It collapses like this it doesn’t matter which flap is up the rest of the model is easy to fold turn over make a valleyfold valleyfold again turn over find out where is the front and the back of the model look from the side the part where the wing is, is the backside with the tail this is going to be the tail make it thinner fold a small line up repeat here now we crimp the tail first fold a valleyfold here back a few mm behind the first crease, fold back repeat four times 1,2,3,4 first a valley, then a mountain fold try to make equal intervals you can correct your folds later third fold fourth fold then fold a valleyfold here along this line repeat here valleyfold the model like this this is the tail the upper body we fold an outside reverse fold precrease like this open look from above valleyfold along these lines close the model while doing your folds now we fold the head making an outside reverse fold open push here fold to the front at the existing line close fold as shown take the head here pull and squash make an outside reverse fold along this line here that will be a horn fold up close and squash fold this point up to here fold the tip down to make an eye repeat on the other side fold up fold down the legs fold back fold this edge to this edge repeat on the other side this edge to this edge repeat with the hind legs this edge to this edge this edge to this edge the wings! fold up you can leave them like this repeat here you can leave the wings like this or pleat them for the pleats pull the inner layer out a little bit it opens behind the hind leg you gain paper here you don’t have to do this but you can then pleat the wing folding alternating mountain and valleyfolds then your wings look like this, cover this part with the hind leg. repeat on the other side pull the inner layer here you gain paper make the pleats now shape the model take the neck and mountainfold to this point then connect these points with a mountain fold repeat on the other side fold the inner layers as well I forgot that your model looks like this make a mountainfold along this line this makes the tail look better repeat on the other side you can pull up the tail that’s it! I recommend to glue this part together this shapes the model and the neck rises thank you for folding! this model is not easy, you can be proud if you made it!
