Today I have got a real treat for you this is a second part of the How you can make a bonsai tree from a nursery stock at home, and I have been working on a Fuji cherry tree. Cut off the excess wire an bury it same thing on this side I am now going to remove some of these other dead branches also it looks like the tree was facing that way and all the growth is on this side so I will have to wire some branches and spread them out a bit to improve the placement of the branches also clean up these dead branches and little stumps there is broken branch here at the top so I am going to remove that It looks like this was, the trunk divided into two here and then its divided again into two up here so I will have to make a decision as to whether to remove one of them or retain them. I will just clean up the dead branches first the we’ll have a look, the trunk dividing into three and its looking more like a bush now as opposed to a bonsai so I have decided to remove this middle Branch so we will do that now right, there we are ! this opened the tree up quiet considerably and so now I can continue with the pruning of branches and also dead branches here at the top these will come off I have been with the top just thinning out and reducing the branches so continue with that some more dead branches and now we have a new leader this here is going to be the new leader remove all these other branches, shorten them Ah ha ! that’s interesting, we have another ? This branch has forked into two and I am going to retain that fork at the top just remove this branch as its crossing over and perhaps reduce this to here and also reduce these branches going south I’ll probably wire these and then Yeah, I will wire this down and also, perhaps, may be wire one or two branches from this side, there are still some dead branches I keep seeing as I move the branches to one side so we’ll take those out I have wired up a few branches and will now position them and hopefully that should be it for today got a little bit of movement in this branch and it can be cut back to about there. this one can go up a little bit its too low and this one can be shortened as well to there that can be shortened to there there Also shorten these bit more I’ll shorten this top to about there and reduce that Clean up this cut bit thick so by reducing it, it will hope fully improve improve the taper that should do for now and I will give it a thorough soaking, I am using a fine mist spray to thoroughly soak the tree thereafter it will be placed in a complete shade for the next three weeks as it is quiet sunny and hot it needs protection from the sun that all for now folks Thank you very much for watching and to watch more please subscribe This is Iqbal Khan for mikbonsai in West London my wife told me to stop impersonating a flamingo I had to put my foot down Oh well that ‘s British humour for you and if you are visiting and you haven’t Subscribed now is the time to fix that hit the subscribe button below and also click on the bell tick the box to ensure that you receive all future notifications of my uploads and also the British humour at the tail end.
