My Designs: Making a Paper Airplane With Transparent Envelope Card

Hi my name is Logan and I am going to try to maybe make a tutorial of how this transparent envelope along with a paper airplane card that I had envisioned. This is actually my second time filming this because the first time I kinda don’t like it. So I trashed it. So the stuff that you actually need is the transparency sheet paper you need a laminator, like this one which I got for free from Staples after rewards. Maybe a paper cutter. Scissors. Some knife. I am using a box cutter. Ruler. And I have a very small cutting board. Oh and you also paper preferably glossy paper, and a color printer. I’m using a color laser. Let me get started. Here is the card that I actually made way before hand. Here is the paper airplane. I concealed it with tape. I wish it looked nicer but yeah. Ummm. This is the back. And this is the paper airplane. This is what I was talking about. Alright the first thing I’m going to do is cut or trim this lamination paper, not transparency paper actually, a little bit. So it would form a little small envelope. I did not realize how low the camera was. Um. And let’s do that. So for this cutting board I’m just using the original one rectangle. Just one rectangle. And I have no idea how big that is. Maybe 3 cm. I’m being metric. So I’m just using; I’m trimming both sides of one side of this paper. Terrible camera angle isn’t it? Okay so now on the sheet there are two strips one here and one here. We are going to cut that off. Alright so now you should have a sheet of paper or a lamination sheet where one side larger than this other side. This sheet is smaller than the other side. The next thing we are going to do is actually fold this sheet of paper in half. So it actually forms an envelope. Right now I’m just using the scissor’s edge handle to kinda flatten this down, more of a defined edge on the lamination paper. So what you here now is an envelope. So what I am going to do later is have an address label laminated inside this sheet of paper with a return address right here. It is a very cool clear envelope. Alright now that this is nicely flatten out, we are going to insert the return address label. that you could have pre-printed out. I printed out on green sheets of paper and just insert it into where it should go. There. Inside there. And for mine, I like to decorate it a little bit with one of these tabs that you usually use on books. And now are going to laminate the sheet of lamination paper. So I need to plug in the laminator. Now that the laminator is ready and warmed up, we are going to use the lamination pouch and put this, hopefully without moving the labels , into the lamination pouch. I like to put that pouch that way. Through the laminator. Now we have a laminated envelope. this laminator isn’t quite warm enough. Maybe it is just dirty. This is how it turns out. I might give it a second pass because it is so foggy. It is still just as foggy. But it is alright. Now we have an envelope that is transparent. And originally I wanted put a laminated flower here or a dried flower. That would be even nicer. Next step is actually designing the card. So I am going to be using the HP Presentation Paper 130 grams for laser. And I bought this 300 for a rather expensive $19.48. Now I actually have the sheet of paper printed out. The paper airplane I’m going to be folding and cutting and yady yady yah. So that thing I don’t know if will post it online. night yeah now I’ll a online that This is how it looks on the HP presentation paper 130 grams glossy. Yup, I fee the toner is missing blue or yellow. So what we are actually going to do is use this paper cutter and cut off the sides. And this is a FYI. This was created on letter size paper and I just shrunken it 88%. This is 88% of the actual size paper. So off to triming. Okay, so we have right now a nice trimmed card and it has the lower lorem isume dome. Uh, now we can fold this in half to make a paper airplane. I’m a fan of flattening edges. Like that. If you know how to fold a paper airplane, you fold this down. Other side, you fold that one. And if you did this correctly, the line will line up exactly which is what has happened here. So that is good. This side isn’t too good. Anyways. And now we have a paper airplane that says “Dear Stephaine Doe.” We got unfold here. And then if you unfold it, you get this. It is pretty nice. Open up on the other side and the card is like that. Being a little narcissistic here. And on the bottom of the airplane is nice and green with a red highlight. And a yellow highlight. And this is actually slightly orange, with a slight orange. So I actually put the card in the envelope like this. So it contrast with the blue. So let me this envelope here. and they miss lanie their and you simply put the paper airplane into the corner and tuck it in. And now we have a letter to Stephaine Doe at 468 Lorem Ipsum Avenue. I need to burp. Um, you can simply seal this with tape or what I like to do get one of these scratch pieces of paper and adhere on with tape and you have a nice contrast band right here and there is a sub-straight to actually rip it apart. Um. What I like to do is trim off the white and it will look something like this. Where you can wrip this of to open the card. And ta-da. So thanks for watching this video. I hoped you liked it. Um. One of my friends is actually trying get this into possibly mass production so maybe you can buy it someday. I don’t know. I hope this was fun for you to watch. Thanks for watching.
