Ministry Designs 3.0 Overview

Hi there and welcome to Ministry Designs
3.0. Today’s tutorial video will be going over a brief overview of the main
functions of the 3.0 builder. Inside the system we’re going to be covering the
five main tabs inside the builder the pages tab, designed tab, the media
library tab, settings tab, and lastly the profile page all of these tabs will be
located at the top of the builder at all time First tab we’re going to be covering is
the pages tab. Inside the pages tab is where all the editing of your website
will take place. This is where you can edit your content adjust images and input our
widgets. The middle of the builder what you’re seeing is called the staging area
this is where all the edits will take place the staging area is made up of
three different pieces the header, content, and footer. You’ll be able to
adjust these once editing inside the stage. Above the stage you’ll have a tool bar with a drop down menu that contains all the pages inside your website. You can use this menu to bounce from page to page. In the middle of the toolbar you’ll see four icons depicting a computer, tablet, and two mobile phones one sideways and one vertical. By selecting these icons you’ll get to preview what your site will look like when viewed on the specific
platform. Once you click inside the staging area a menu on your left will
appear, this is your Widgets menu. Inside this menu you have five different sets of
widgets that you can use your structure which is comparable to
the building blocks of your website your containers and rows are going to be what makes up the different sections of a page. Each page will have a container which will have rows and content inside of it. Each container can be edited on its own.
This means each container can have its own background, anchor, and design
qualities. Next is your basic widgets these are going to be the main tools you use inside of website to create content. Things like
text boxes, images, buttons, menus, and more makeup to section. Below that we have our
gallery widgets. Inside here you’ll have different ways that you will be
able to display your images inside the builder. Each gallery will have their
very own qualities that differ from one another. Below that we have a social widgets.
These widgets are designed to integrate with all of your social media platforms.
By simply dragging one of these widgets into the staging area can then begin to
easily connect directly to your social media platforms. Lastly we have our more section. In this section we have widgets of all kinds. We have an extremely easy to use Google
Maps widget that allows for any visitor of your website to get directions
exactly to your location. We have a video widget to stream any video directly from
YouTube or Vimeo. We also have our iframe and embed widget these two widgets allow
for you to integrate with just about any service out there. Wa want to give all of our users the best possible chance integrate their website with the services they are currently using, or wish to use in the future. Inside the design tab is where you have the creative
freedom to change the design of everything inside your website with one
click of a button. On the left hand side you will see six
different sections, themes, text, colors, background, size and values, and widgets. Each tab allows you to edit the design of the respective content. The theme tab
will show you which theme is being shown live on your website. You can create
multiple themes to quickly switch from one set of designs to another. Below that is your text design tab. This tab allows for you to create and edit different
categories of text, for an example, if you have a text box at the top of each page you could
label that “Heading XL” from there you can set all your page titles to reflect the
“Heading XL” design. From there you can come to the Design tab and change what
the text style “Heading XL” looks like which would automatically adjust the page
titles on every page. These keep you from having to go to each individual page and
adjust the text accordingly. When uoi select s text style you have a ton of
different options available to you, like font, font size, spacing, color, and more.
Below the text options you have your colors to select. The color palette controls all the colors inside the site with one click of a button. To begin you have five
main color entries you can choose. Next the system will create five shades of each
of the colors you have selected. These five colors will be the main palette for
your entire website. Of course if you want to choose a different color for added
design in your site, you can most definitely do that by just clicking the
more colors option. Every time you decide to choose a new color you will be presented
with our color picker. On the right hand side you can control the color of
choice once you have selected that you can then
adjust the dot inside the palette to pick specific shades and hues of that color.
If you have a specific color in mind you can also enter in a hex code below which will
match any color perfectly. Next we have the Media Library. Your media library
will be at the collection of media uploaded to your site. Media can consist of images, videos, audio,
and different files. In order to add new media to your website all you need to do
is select the upload button in the top left corner of the builder. From there
you’ll be able to select the media of your choice from your desktop and begin
the upload process. Once inside your media library you have the ability to
create different folders for various events, dates, or categories. You can also
make your search easier as well by using the media icons. If you’re inside the
specific folder looking for an image file, you can select the image file icon
which will then display the available images only. Same is true for audio, video,
documents, and more. next is the Settings tab. The Settings tab allows for you to handle
multiple features inside your website. Inside the General tab you can change
the basic settings of your website such as the name, website favicon, default
language, and search engine optimization settings. The updates tab is a pretty simple
one. This tab will show you if there are any updates available for your website.
If there are, you will see a button labeled “Install Now” with details of
which version you’d be upgrading to. The Analytics section is a direct
integration with Google Analytics and Webmaster tools. Here you can type in your
tracking code and HTML tag to connect directly to analytics tools. The system
will then take care of the rest. Below that tab you have your Code injection, Mail,
and Integration tab. The Code Injection tab allows for you to enter the code
inside of your header tag of your website. Same is true for the body of the
website. The Mail tab allows for you to connect to your SMTP server. If enabled this
will use your servers SMTP settings for your forgot password feature. The last
stop is your Profile page. Here is where you can set the name of
your website builder as well as your login email and password. Once you change
the information make sure you save your changes. Well there you have it. Those are the
basics of the Ministry Designs 3.0 builder. If you have any questions, or would like
