Lego Buildable Ruler Review

Hey everyone! I’m taking a look today at
some LEGO stationery and I’ve been to the LEGO Store and picked up quite a few
things! This is the LEGO build-able ruler and it’s a two-in-one so you can
either make yourself a full-size 30 centimeter ruler or a six inch one, and you can also attach stuff to it because these are
basically 4×2 plates that sit along the middle of it. OK so here’s the six-inch design. It is
quite a nice is pretty flexible – it’s not all that sturdy but it does actually look
good. You can have any combination of the plates that you want on here so you can
color it anything you like and the numbers are printed nicely. There isn’t really much else
to say about this other than it is a little bit more flexible than I’d like.
On the larger design you do get this long plate and two tiles that you
can put at either side like this and that would strengthen it just a little bit. Then you would put the coloured plates on top but then obviously you’ve got a lot
thickness … it sticks out quite a lot. I don’t know why they haven’t done that
in the smaller design. Here’s the full size
version. I prefer this a lot more. This is much nicer! I don’t think it’ll
fit in many pencil cases but it is a lot nicer and it’s a little bit sturdier. I don’t feel
like it’s going to break but it does have some flex to it. I guess most
rulers have that anyway and I guess if you really wanted to you could always
separate the pieces and have two halves in your your pencil case. There are two
pieces left over still but these are just short pieces
which would have been on the ends of the the half-size ruler and I actually like
that it’s got the center raised up a little bit so you can kind of hold it
like that. I mean, it is no big deal but it just looks nice adds a bit of texture to
it and I like the colors as well. You can attach any pieces you like to this so I’m going to put a flat tile
here and I’m going to put my clapper board there because that is one of my
favourite pieces – I love that! I’ve also got a little rotating
piece here so if i put that there I can then put a LEGO minifigure on it
and it can spin around. I think that’s pretty neat Well actually, let me put this on there and
see how that looks. That’s pretty cool. Now I’ve got a little rotating donut piece.
One of my favorite builds I got from a Creator set is this bench here so
let’s attach that to the end of the ruler and then I can put my sigfig on there laying back in the sun because it is nice and sunny today here in London. OK that was pretty cool, I like that. Actually I like this a lot, this size is a
lot better for some reason. I don’t know why but this is a lot better than the
the half-size version. The full size build looks cool, it feels a bit more
solid and I just like the design of it. I really like that you can attach
your minifigs or whatever you like to the ends of the ruler, or
anywhere in fact, and that will give it a little bit of extra strength but it also
gives it a really unique design. It is just nice to have pieces that you can
play with on there as well. I’ve got a crystal egg here for a baby wind dragon which I like the look of. Miku isn’t in there, I can’t remember where I left him! I just like this a lot and I want to find a load of stuff to put on
it just because! I’ve got my little workman on there and then if I
separate them out enough I can still hold it in place while using it
to measure or whatever. This is really nice. I think this is cool! This is
my favourite LEGO stationery set so far. If you saw my other review of the LEGO journal it might seem similar in a way because you can attach pieces to the binder or band. For some reason I just like the way that these are lined up like this, I think it
looks really nice, really cool and satisfying! Now, as always I
recommend shopping around if you’re going to buy LEGO so you can find the best price
or the best deal for you and certainly with this stationery range I really do
recommend it because I saw this stuff cheaper at John Lewis. I have also seen it on Amazon and they also had a slightly
different range as well compared to what they have in the LEGO Store. You can often
find lower prices elsewhere so please do shop around if you want to buy any of
this stationary collection. So that wraps up my review of the LEGO buildable ruler. I think it’s pretty obvious I like it! If
you had this Lego ruler, what would you put on it? Would you put
your minifigures on it or would you put something else on it instead? Let me know in the comments
below and maybe next time I could do a shout-out or something like that! Please hit subscribe to stay up-to-date with
all my videos and coming up next I’m going to take a look at the LEGO Pencil
box or pencil case, and the packet of LEGO graphite pencils that they sell right now. Thanks a lot for watching :o) Bye :o)
