Learn How to Crochet a Rose – Ring of Roses – Flor Flores Rosa Rosas

Hi I’m Donna Wolfe from naztazia.com
Today I’m going to show you how to crochet a rose using my ring of roses
pattern. You can find the written instructions on my website naztazia.com To do this you’ll need some Red Heart Super Saver yarn. I like to use one
dark and one light color. And a size G hook. By the way be sure to click on the
subscribe button to get notified of new videos from me each week. To begin I’m
using this brighter yellow yarn. Make a slipknot and then chain 12. If you need
help with the basics of crochet be sure to watch my beginner videos. Slip stitch
to form a ring. Chain 3. This counts as 1 double crochet. Now make 23 double
crochet stitches in this ring. If you notice I am also crocheting over that
tail end. The reason for this is it helps weave in the end. Then I cut it off about
after the seventh double crochet stitch. Now I’ll keep going on with my double
crochet stitches. Once completed, slip stitch to the first stitch. Cut your yarn
and weave in your ends. Next I’ll use some light yellow yarn for the next ring. Slip knot and chain 12, just as we did
before. Insert this chain inside the previous ring, then slip stitch to form a
ring. This ring will interlock with the first
ring, Chain 3, make 23 double crochet stitches in this new light yellow ring.
As before do your first 7 double crochet stitches over that tail end. Then once
completed, cut it off. Continue crocheting your double crochet stitches within this
ring. Once completed, slip stitch to close it. For all other rings do your slip knot,
and then chain 12. Put your chain inside the last ring. Slip stitch to close the
ring. Chain 3 and make 23 double crochet stitches in that new ring. You can see
what three rings look like. Also if you’re on social media you can also find
me on Facebook Instagram Pinterest and Twitter. You will make a total of seven
rings. Straighten them out like this. Then starting at one edge, roll your rings
like this. If you roll it tighter your flower will be more like a rosebud.
Looser and the flower will be more like this. Next take a yarn needle and just
make a few stitches on the bottom part of the flower so the roll holds together. I like to tie and knot the yarn as well.
Cut and weave in all ends. And here’s what my flower looks like. You can hot
glue some leaves on if you wish. Or pop off an old flower from a stem and glue
your new one on. And here are the finished ring of roses. To view this
