Is this the world’s tallest sandcastle?

This sand castle could be about to be crowned
the biggest ever. A team of artists have spent almost a week
building the castle – which stands at more than 12 metres tall. Twenty truckloads of sand were brought to
the shores of the city of Niteroi just across the Guanabara Bay from Rio de Janeiro to help
build it. The castle’s made of sand and water. It does
have a very light mixture sprayed on the outside that actually keeps it held up for the wind,
but that’s it. It’s all sustainable material and at the end of the day we’ll be actually
tearing the castle down and you’ll see it’s just sand and water. Officials from the famous Guinness Book of World Records took the massive castle’s measurements after it was completed on Tuesday – but the
official results won’t be known for at least a few days. Well, I mean, we wanted to break the world
record with Guinness. It was measured today; it was measured this morning. We won’t know
the results for a few days. And then we’ll be releasing those results when we release
our video. But those hoping to get a glimpse of the tower
may have missed their chance as it’s being demolished at the end of the day.
