Inside Noadi’s Art – Jewelry Cores

Hi welcome to a behind the scenes look at
how I create my jewelry. I’m recording the audio separate from the
video because there’s a lot of background noise when I recorded it.
So these are the cores for my jewelry designs they’re made from Sculpey Ultralight which
is a polymer clay, like the rest of the jewelry,
but it has a special quality. It has a lot of air worked into it,
tiny little air pockets, and that allows it to be very very lightweight.
Including being able to float in water. Which we’re about to see.
See This makes my jewelry very lightweight for
it’s size since my jewelry ranges from an inch and a
half up to 4 inches long it would be very heavy if it was made from solid polymer clay.
Being sculpted over these cores not only gives me a guide for the shape it also lets me cut
down on the weight so it’s not too heavy on peoples necks.
These are the cores for the squid necklaces, as you can see they are very elongated like
the squid’s body. And they’re about two inches long or so.
This is the cores for the octopus necklaces, slightly egg-shaped ball.
And the nautiluses and the cuttlefish.
These are for both the trilobite necklaces and the platypus and beaver ornaments.
Also important to make sure Christmas ornaments aren’t too heavy.
I hope you’ve enjoyed this little look into how I create my work and what goes really
inside Noadi’s Art. Thank you.
Bye!
