How to Transfer Infusible Ink Designs to Square Coaster Blanks

How to Transfer Infusible Ink Designs to Square Coaster Blanks In this video we’ll show you how to
permanently infuse your Infusible Ink designs into Square Coaster blanks. First,
we’ll infuse artwork created from Infusible Ink Transfer Sheets, and then
we’ll infuse artwork made with pens and markers. First, always start by protecting
your Cricut EasyPress mat with a fresh white sheet of cardstock. Then, take your
pre-weeded transfer sheet design and make sure the ink side faces the white
side of the coaster, and the cork side is facing up. Use heat resistant tape to
secure your design in place. Now, flip it over and cover it with a sheet of butcher
paper. Ensure your paper is larger than your Cricut EasyPress plate. Confirm the
correct settings using our Heat Transfer Guide. And when your machine is good to
go place it right on top. Try not to move a thing, and start the countdown timer. No
pressure is recommended so go ahead and let go of the handle, but do not walk
away. When time’s up lift the machine straight up. Let your coaster cool
completely. Use extreme caution because they get really, really hot!
Remove the butcher paper and carefully flip the coaster to remove
the tape. Flip it again and remove the liner. If any pieces remain you can just use
your fingers to remove those. Gorgeous!
Now we’ll transfer a design made with pens and markers. Always start by
protecting your mat. And then align your drawing on your
coaster ink side facing the coaster. Use heat resistant tape to secure the
copy paper in place. Never skip this step as it may result in
unwanted ghosting effects. Cricket pros tape around the edges to the back. Cover your design with white cardstock
that is larger than your heat plate. And, before pressing, confirm your Cricut EasyPress settings using our Heat Transfer Guide. When your machine is
ready place it directly on top. Try not to move your Cricut EasyPress once it
touches down. Then, start the timer. No pressure is recommended, so let go of
the handle but do not walk away. When time’s up, lift the machine straight
up. Again, let everything cool completely. Use extreme caution because the coaster
will be very, very, very hot. Only when it’s completely cool pull off
the cardstock, then flip the coaster to remove the tape. And eventually the paper as well to
reveal your fully infused design. And that’s it!

  1. Can I use parchment paper? And if I have to use butcher paper, does it matter which side facing the non-color side?
