How to Make an Easy Origami Flower – DIY Tutorial for 5 Petal 6 Petals Folded Flowers Kusudama

Hi I’m Sarah from Hi I’m Shawn! And today we’re going to show you how to make all origami flowers.
It’s best to use real origami paper but if you don’t have origami paper you can
just cut squares out of regular paper. You will need five sheets of paper. Lay
one sheet on the table like this. Fold it upwards to form a triangle. Crease it
really good on the bottom. Fold up the right side like this and then fold up
the left side like this. Turn your work like this and then fold down the side to
meet this bottom edge. Crease it good. Turn to the other side and fold it down
to meet this edge. Open up the right side put your finger inside the paper then
along this crease and this crease. Push down the top part of the paper so that
it forms kind of a kite shape. Do the same thing to the other side. Put your
finger in the paper, push down the top part of the paper along these two
creases, fold down the top part of one side into a little triangle, and the left
side too. Fold this kite shape in half like this. And then do the same on the
other side. Lift the paper and bring the two sides together like this. Don’t fold
them – let the middle part just curve a bit. You can take some paper glue and
place a thin line along the edge of the paper here. Fold it closed and then put a
paperclip until it dries. But I like to use a hot glue gun instead. This dries in
a few seconds. Place a thin line of hot glue like this. Fold it along the edge
like this – be careful not to touch the hot glue though.
And here’s the first finished petal. You’ll need to make a total of five
petals. You can also make six petals if you want to for a fuller flower. Now it’s
time to glue the petals together. Place a thin line of hot glue along this edge.
Place the other petal along the line like this. Hold it together until it
dries. Keep doing this for the remainder of the petals. Once all the petals are
glued together place a little bit thicker of a line of hot glue along this
edge and then bring the flower together like this. Hold it a few extra seconds to
make sure it stays. Once your flower is done you can glue on a little gem in the
middle. And here’s my finished flower. I hope this video has helped you. Please
