How To Decoupage : How To Decoupage A Bowl: Getting Rid Of Bubble

Hi! I’m Karen for Expert Village. Okay. Now
this side is finished. Just gently turn that around so you can work on it and start again.
Just work your way around
keeping your finger well lubricated with glue so that it’s just gently sliding around the
napkin. You don’t want to feel any dry napkin at all. If it’s going on dry, then it’s not
enough glue to soak in and you could possibly tear because you’ve got only one layer of
napkin so it’s very delicate. Just right down to the edge. You can see the edge of the bowl
there. You want to check over the whole piece and
make sure that you don’t have bubbles being very careful not to rub or tear anything too
hard. If you find you have an air bubble…I have just al little bit right there…you
can just put the tiniest hole to help the air come out. Tiny pin prick and then press
that down to the edge. This bowl had a little bit of a lip here that it stands on, so getting
the napkin into the edge. You want to be very careful not to rip it. Then just go around
the edge to make sure it’s completely adhered around the edge. Then we’ll let that dry at
least 20 minutes before we remove the excess napkin. I’m just going right around the edge
very gently making sure that it’s adhered to the edge. If you feel and dry spots or
if you see any white spots that isn’t the white glue, if you see like a dry white spot,
you want to fill that in with glue. Now that’s ready to sit and dry.
