  1. wtf you are doing it sooo fast mabye you can make a remake in slowmotion that will be helpful tumbs up if you want it to !

  2. @tjw1963 I want it to continue getting larger laying flat. Like starting off a granny square…. circle, square, then circle again… I can see it in my head that it would make a cool pattern but not sure how to make it happen.

  3. Teresa, I have you tell you that I think you are absolutely wonderful. We had our 3rd baby a couple months ago and I was determined to start making things for my kids since I've always wanted to. I started crocheting a week ago and already, I can do 5 different crochet stitches. I've made blankets, multiple beanies, pot holders- your videos are the reason I can do all of it already. Your tutorials are so easy to follow. Thank you so much for teaching me crochet. I already know so much!

  4. ive been trying to pick up crocheting for years and FINALLY with the help of this video i am confident in my granny square, ive been working 3 days on just this project and now i can bang one out like a pro

  5. I cannot put into words how helpful your video was. I've been avoiding all patterns that featured granny squares,๏ปฟ but now I know I can do them, thanks to you.

  6. Is it okay to do chain 2 slip stitch to join? I usually do that because I change color every row and find it leaves less of a bump, but I want to have the best possible technique down before I start a project.

  7. Thank you so much for this! I had the damnedest time trying to crochet a grannie square (I know, it's basically the easiest thing, but….). Really appreciate it. =)

  8. I appreciate the video but I hate when I invest time and get to a certain point and then lose you. You started talking about the different names for the stitches and I swear you went to fast and added a chain and started to crochet again.

  9. you're going too fast…. if you're going to teach us beginners, PLEASE slow down! I really want to learn, but I can't follow you after the chain 3

  10. I don't understand why people don't just use the pause button…I got it on the second try. She really doesn't go that fast. It helps if you WATCH her first, play it back and then try it.

  11. This was a great video. I was having such a hard time figuring this out from the book. I was able to make my square at the same time! Thanks again!

  12. funny, i kinda like the yarn/hook sqeak, but we're all different…and while we're on the subject of annyoyances, it really, really annoys me when people criticize videos that you and others have put together…recently saw one where someone complained about the color of nail polish the crocheter wore in the video…really?…simply put, if just can't accept the video as it is, then move along and shut your pie hole

  13. Yeaaaaah, I've been trying that for about an hour now. What I've managed does not look like what she has, so I'm fubaring it somewhere. Not everyone has the learning curve you do, don't be disrespectful.

  14. @renataravensong Nothing I said was disrespectful. I made three squares before it looked like it was supposed to, but I didn't blame it on the video. It's called practice.

  15. Hi , i just wanted to say Thank you so much for showing me how to make a granny square in real time. i have friends that ask me how to make mine. I show them and they get stuck. So I tell to go your site if they get stuck.

As for the sound I do here it too but it is no biggy .

Can you post a rectangle granny sqaure pattern video. ? Pretty please. I love making them but I need a video to show my friends.

  17. yeah i love the book finished it last night have you read it can you make a video on a crochet wreath or stocking without granny squares???

  18. In all corners it its CH 1 3 DC CH 2 3 DC in the same space correct? I'm not reading that in the written instructions and learning to read a pattern as well as follow your videos is something I'm working on. I just want to make sure I'm right about my work.

  19. This was very easy to follow and understand. Thanks for showing me a cleaner and easier way to step up to the next round. I'm now going to try an endless granny square blanket.

  20. I love this Theresa. Thank you. I am on my way to making a blanket from this square. Yay! I am so excited. I am using Red Heart Bikini, its like fiesta colors. lol

  21. Do u have any videos on how to do dish rags or dish cloths? I thought I figured it out but I failed at it. I'm new to crocheting and I find our videos extremely helpful.

  22. omg i have been trying for almost a year to figure out how to do a granny square i can finally do one thanks to u thank u so much it means alot me now i can make my hubby a blanket ๐Ÿ™‚

  23. This video was so fun and easy!!!!!! I never really knew how to make a granny square and now I can! Thank you!

  24. Thank you for the awesome video! To keep going and make the square larger and larger for a one big granny square afghan…. How do I do it? I mean, you finished with 5 rounds, to keep going what should be my instructions for row 6 and so on?
Also I will be changing colors as I keep going. Any tips how to change the color for a big one piece granny afghan? Thank so much in advance!

  25. I found myself being soothed by your voice while watching this! ๐Ÿ™‚ Thank you for posting this, I think i can actually make a granny square now!

  26. Thank you so kindly for answering me! So in other words "after I chain one and I do the SC at the beg of CH3, to finish the round I should join with a SL stitch instead of the SC? Then beg with new color chaining the first 3 CHs of the new round?

  27. Any tips on repairing an old granny square blanket? my sister sent me with one thats been passed down in her husbands family. I want to make sure I do the best job possible.

  28. I have cut the old stitches out and secured the yarn to the next best stitch and then work the replacement stitches between.

  29. Hi, I have some awesome 8ply wool, can i use this to make a granny square if so what size needle shoud I use. I'm just learning.

  30. My mom was an expert at these squares. I never quite got the hang of them. I'm gonna try this and see if it works.

  31. When making 1 large granny square blanket can I just do 3dc, 2ch, 3dc in the corners and 1ch, 3dc in the side spaces without doing 2 slip stitches when starting each round?

  32. This has really helped me a lot because I'm trying to make a granny square blanket with 2 colors and I couldn't find a simple and easy granny square to make thx

  33. Awesome video!! just what I needed. The instruction book I have makes a lot more sense now. thanks for sharing.

  34. YouTube currently has issues in delivering my content freely. I will try my best to continue teaching in some capacity.

  35. You can continue it to make a blanket, or you can make a bunch of little ones and sew/crochet them together to make all sorts of things – blankets, jackets, scarves, etc.

  36. Thanks for the most invalueable lesson of making a granny square. Why do I have to make 2 dc in next round, why not 3? I need your advice about the starting ring and the next round. Thanks!

  37. Loved this video. I'm now making a beautiful granny square blanket for myself! I find I have to pause it to catch up but I'm still able to follow. Thank you so much for these videos. I learned how to crochet from them and love learning more!

  38. Rebekah – Good to hear your success. Please share your blanket pictures when you get it complete to Crochet Geek Community on Google+.

  39. I am thinking of making a blanket for my bed which is queen sized. Would I continue this same format? Thanks for your videos it really helps as I am fairly new to crochet.

  40. Thanks for the excellent explanation! ย I used to make these when I was young and I couldn't remember how to do them.

  41. Thank you very much for making these. I'm trying to learn as much as I can before my vision gets worse, that way when I'm fully blind I have something to do still. I have books, but some of them are hard for my younger sisters to read to me.
