Let us work on designing our cover. So, if
you will come close, I am going show you that on this one inch mark that we did earlier,
you want to line your ruler up and get your X-Acto knife out. Put it through there and
start cutting just lightly layer by layer. You do not want to go all the way through.
You can go all the way through, but it is a little more work in the end if you do that.
Soon as you feel like you have cut through a few layers, just start trying to break that
apart. I need to go a little bit more. Little deeper. So, as soon as I have got that done
it should fold really nicely. So, that is going to be our first thing. The next thing
we want to do is get the picture that is going to go on our cover. I am going to use this
really nice ocean, because I am going to make this for a friend that is an artist and he
really likes the ocean and he lives in the city. So, I am going to flip this over and
you want to get this paper at least a half inch wider than your board. If it is a little
more that is great as well, because what is going to happen is these are going to flip
over. And then, for the piece that is going to cover, cover the backing. You want to place
this. I am going to do the city since he lives in the city. You want to place that on there
and then trace around it so you can cut that out. And, when you cut it, cut in maybe about
one-sixteenth of an inch to one-eighth of an inch so it is a tiny bit smaller than your
cover. And, we will get that all cut nice and neat. Let me do the sides. There it is.
I am going to line this up here because my lines that I drew are kind of hard to see.
So, I am going make sure I cut it properly. And, there we go. So, as soon as I have those
pieces prepared I will be ready then to put my cover together.
