Halloween Werewolf/Creature Nails | Special FX Series (CC)

(music) Good evening. In this tutorial, I will be showing you guys how to get these finger nail effects without actually getting fake acrylics. Like these. Basically, a werewolf manicure and pedicure. Sounds SO relaxing! Also check out my other FX tutorials, which I will link in the corners down here. All of the products I used today will be listed somewhere around the video, also don’t forget to subscribe to my YouTube channel! If you have any questions, comments, concerns, feel free to contact me. You also have two color options when it comes to doing the nails, I am going to be using skin tone colored one, but they also make a bone colored one. I personally like using the skin colored one more for this one because it’s easier and nicer to blend in to the fingers. or toes. To start off our lovely werewolf manicure my nails are already shaped like this, but that is not going to matter at all. You guys will see when I do my toes, because my toes are not… shaped… like… this. Now I have gel polish on, so I can’t take this off BUT if you guys have nail polish on, try your best NOT to start with nail polish on. Using either Pros-Aid or Spirit Gum, you’re then going to cover your finger nails. You can just as easily use Spirit Gum for this step I personally like using Pros-Aid, it’s more of the professional stuff but beyond being the professional stuff, for some reason I have a reaction to Spirit Gum remover. Pros-Aid is extremely sticky. You’re going to want to apply a little bit of makeup remover to your other hand (that you’re not working on) Taking a little bit of that wax, you can then sculpt over your fingers. If you don’t have makeup remover on the hand that you’re working with, like this hand, it’s going to be quite miserable and it’s [wax] going to be sticking to you. You can make it whatever shape you want, it doesn’t matter if your nails are square, you’re still going to be able to build up the shape with wax. Of course, repeat for each finger. (music) Nothing actually defines these as one thing or another, you can actually make them for whatever creature you want. I’m then going to be adding a little bit of color [eyeshadow] to them, using a yellow/brown You guys can see, you can tell… towards the bottom. I’m then applying a little bit of a reddish color towards the base as well. I’m also taking a little bit of that color and dragging it up. … to give them some ridges, and make them look like they are peel-y and having problems. You can also create some nail beds by just running a little bit of black along the bottom. Be sure to seal your nails with Pros-Aid, and also powder your nails to finish up. Also keep in mind that you’re going to have to be careful with these guys throughout the night. For the application on your toes, you’re literally going to apply it the exact same way. Spray a little makeup remover on your hands so you can make sure the wax is pliable. Literally, just stick it right on your toes. From here, its modeling wax! You can pretty much make whatever shape you are wanting. If at any point it gets a little too sticky, just add a little more makeup remover to the tips of your fingers. (music) Wax is one of my favorite mediums to work with, I feel like it’s a lot quicker than liquid latex, especially if you’re just doing something for Halloween. Try your best not to hit your toes together just yet. You actually could buy those toe seperators if you really wanted to go all out werewolf pedicure… Looking ridiculous. If you see something you want to change, you can mold wax for quite some time. I am then taking reddish brown eyeshadow and a lip brush, and just detailing the edges. Can you guys thumbs up with your toe!? Let me know in the comments if you can thumbs up with your toe. I’m also using a very little bit of black [eyeshadow] right around the bottom of the nail bed. There you have it! Werewolf toes. (head banging music)

  13. So I have a question I as a boy who has never touched makeup (neither beauty or effects makeup) I was wondering I know you have to clean your brushes with brush cleaner once in a while but like do I have to do that when I use for example grey body paint and I want to use green but with that same brush can I just like normal paint stir it in clean water or do I have to do something else? So if anyone can answer my question it would be much appreciated

  14. I just realised that i have been watching you for 1 year exactly now. I love watching your videos and i hope you keeping making videos for us. I know you probably wont see this but HAPPY ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY!! Love you!!!

  15. The wax itself is decently hard, but not hard enough to try to open cans, or smash things into them. This is just an easy trick to do, but you do have to be careful through out the night ๐Ÿ™‚ This can also be done with nail tips ^.^ Patience, Halloween has just begun ๐Ÿ˜€

  16. Yes, observers >:) My nails are two different colors! Haha! I should have had it where it was a prize to the first person to notice, hahaha!! This tutorial was filmed a couple of months ago, and was originally only a toe tutorial, but I decided to also show fingers today ๐Ÿ™‚

  17. If you don't seal the wax with prosaid or spirit gum like I said in the video, they will stay completely pliable, and they will also stick to things ^.^
