Easy Mediterranean Pinwheels Recipe with Herbed Olive Oil


Bienvenidos welcome to another episode of Spain on a Fork today we´re making a beautiful tapas dish that´s the perfect appetizer for any occasion from a holiday party to a family get-together to watching the big game Mediterranean Pinwheels with an Herbed Olive Oil these pinwheels are easy to make done in under 30 minutes and they have such an incredible flavor to them now the inspiration behind this recipe came to me because I received a couple olive oils from Sciabica´s I hope I´m saying that correctly ¨Sciabica´s¨ they sent me these olive oils for me to sample here on Spain on a Fork they sent me a garlic flavored extra virgin olive oil and a Mediterranean Medley extra virgin olive oil both of these are so amazing I´m gonna be using the Meditarranean Medley in today´s recipe this one cold pressed with fresh herbs it´s so amazing on its own and it´s only going to make these pinwheels even better you guys will find a link in the description box below where you can buy these amazing olive oils directly from Sciabica´s which by the way are located in Modesto, California alright let´s get cooking grab 1 premade pizza dough sprinkle it with all-purpose flour (so it won´t stick) and rub it all over invert the dough sprinkle the other side with all-purpose flour and rub grab 4 ounces of soft goat´s cheese and gently spread all over the pizza dough crack open a jar of roasted red bell peppers grab 6 roasted red bell peppers pat dry with paper towels cut each roasted pepper open and then in half add the roasted peppers on top of the goat´s cheese add a generous portion of garlic powder a generous portion of onion powder season the roasted peppers with sea salt and freshly cracked black pepper add a handful of bagged spinach and evenly spread around in a single layer grab some a Sciabica´s Mediterranean Medley olive oil add a generous drizzle over the spinach and season with sea salt start tightly (and gently) rolling the pizza dough gently cut into 1 inch pieces add the pinwheels to a baking tray with parchent paper add into a preheated oven bake+broil 210 C – 410 F after 12-13 minutes remove from the oven add the pinwheels to a serving dish grab some Sciabica´s Mediterranean Medley olive oil and brush the oil on top of the pinwheels ok guys our pinwheels are done they look beautiful it smells so amazing in the kitchen I´m telling you that olive oil has transformed my kitchen into in a Italian restaurant it smells fabulous I´m gonna give one of these pinwheels a try and let you guys know how they turned out here we go..salud! bravo….amazing flavors simple ingredients but they all work so well together and let me tell you that pizza crust has a beautiful texture to it you could use a tortilla to make this a lot easier but you know what? the pizza crust elevates it gives it such a better texture and that olive oil…wow…simply stunning just takes these pinwheels to another level of greatness I´d like to thank the folks over at Sciabica´s for sending me those olive oils I really love them I hope they send me more you guys will find a link in the description box below where you can buy there amazing olive oils if you enjoyed today´s video hit that like button leave me a comment below and don´t forget to subscribe until the next time…Hasta Luego!!

  2. Umm Yumm! What a great idea for Thanksgiving appetizers! When my family and I were traveling in Spain, in the late '70s, we ate Thanksgiving dinner at a Woolworth's in Malaga. All the traditional American dishes were present, including a dab of something red that looked like cranberry sauce but, upon tasting, proved to be beets. Guess there aren't many cranberry bogs in Andalusia.
