Easy Card Design Using Scrapbook Paper

Hello Inkredible friends! My name is Meagan with Inkredible Techniques. Today we’re going to be making this card right here but before we do I want to make sure that I remind you one, that there’s bonus days happening right now so through the end of August for every fifty dollars you spend prior to shipping and taxes you get a $5 coupon that you can spend in September so you could purchase this lovely paper with a couple of those coupons. The holiday catalog is coming out in a couple of weeks! September 4th or 5th, I can’t remember which, I’ll put that in the description below but if you need a holiday catalog or an annual catalog be sure and let me know in the comments below. There’s multiple ways to get a hold of me you’ll find all the links in the description below as well and I’ll get you a catalog if you’re here in the U.S. So let’s head over to the stamp table and get started on today’s project. Again this is what we’re making; this is a quick 5 minute card – tops! So for today’s project we’re using petal pink, petal promenade designer series paper I’ve already gone ahead and stamped my sentiment in Stazon Black and mounted it on a petal pink layer; this is using the stitched framelits and then this one’s using the scalloped circles I believe it’s called; I’ll double check the name on that one. The sentiment comes from this Very Vintage stamp set and I just love it! It says, “one of the best things in life is you”, it’s this sentiment right here. I love the florals. I’ve gone ahead and stamped my envelope so you’ve got that and I’m going to go ahead and just quickly put this card together. One thing I want to show you, I’m using this dynamic leaves folder today and this line here at the bottom is what I’m going to use to line up my paper so I can just line that up and then I’m going to take it over to the Big Shot and emboss it. So now we have our very lovely piece of embossed cardstock. Another thing I should point out with the dynamic folders, when you’re running them through the Big Shot you just want to put your… whichever plate you typically use on the bottom then you use your one clear plate actually so you have your bottom platform you have the folder with your card stock in it and then you just put one clear plate on the top and run it through. So you only need one clear plate on these thicker, see how thick that is, on the thicker folders you just need one. So this card… all the dimensions can be found in the links below and I’m just going to go ahead and attach all of this. This card literally is like a quick five minute card. I’ve got my petal pink card base. Go ahead and burnish that there. I’m going to attach this, I’m just eyeballing it but centering it, and then I’m going to take this designer series paper, I have already cut a piece of satin ribbon using my glue dots I’m going to attach a glue dot on each end of the ribbon. I’m gonna take my ribbon; eyeball it towards the lower portion of the paper just like that. It’s a little bit crooked I think but yeah well straighten it out a little bit. Then I’m gonna go ahead and place snail on the back of this layer so these are great when you just need a really quick card, which I did today, and I need a really really fast, super fast card today. So I’m gonna just attach this in the center of that layer and then I already, like I said gone ahead and stamped my sentiment, I’ve put dimensionals on the back and then I can just pop this up right right there. To finish off my card I’m gonna grab some rhinestones; going to also grab my paper piercing tool – this just makes it easier to pick the rhinestones up with and I’m just going to carefully lift a few of these off and randomly place them on this sentiment. Just gives it a little bling and a little something extra. I think I like that and there you have today’s card. I hope you enjoyed today’s card! Please give me a thumbs up for the like if you did enjoy it and don’t forget to subscribe to my channel I don’t want you missing out on any of the fun projects. I share at least a weekly tutorial if you need a catalog the holiday catalogs are coming out next week if you need one of those please comment below and I will be sure to get your information and send you one or get a hold of me; there’s plenty of ways to get a hold of me in the description below you’ll see a number of links. Until next time have an Inkredible day!
