Hi my name is Dorota Freitag. I’m from Kreatywnie.com Today I have for you decoupage 3D technique based on flowerpot. I will also show you how to continue the napkin pattern. I have to prime the flowerpot. I am using white chalk paint – La Pajarita. I am choosing the colors for the napkin. I am tearing off the patterns. After that I am separating the printed layer of paper. After I decided which pattern will be 3D I am cutting out the elements. The bottle has two pieces – I am cutting the label separately. I am keeping the white parts of patterns as “stencils” to define the shape. Now is the time for gluing. I am using decoupage glue. After it is dry, I am covering the surface with the glue again. It protects the napkin by painting. I noticed, that some beginners leave the projects at this moment. Please don’t do that :). It is not ready. It’s the time for painting – I start with bright colors and adapt them to the napkin. I am using stencil brush. Don’t be afraid to cover the napkin with the paint. It is very easy, I noticed that during workshops. It always works. I am protecting the paint with the first layer of varnish. Now is the time for 3D technique. I am using Darwi extra light paste. It is air drying. Now I am using the white paper “stencils” to cut out the patterns. Every pattern has to be made smaller – about 1 mm on every side. I am rounding the edges. I will use the glue again. I am putting some glue, next the paste, glue and napkin. The napkin should cover the paste. I happens that the paste is to high, but you can fix it. The paste can be painted with the same colors. After everything is dry and hard, I am using varnish again. Put more layers to protect the paint and napkin. Thank you for your attention. I hope you enjoyed the 3D technique. See you next time!
