DIY Tassel Garland | Paper Craft Tutorial | Country Hill Cottage

In this quick craft tutorial, we explain how
to create a chic tassel garland with tissue paper! You can use tassels and tassel garlands in
many different ways, for example as decoration for parties, wedding receptions or dessert
tables. Tissue paper comes in a great selection of
colours, which you can combine in endless ways. The written DIY and printable instructions
are on our blog, a link is in the description. Please subscribe for more tutorials, and turn
on notifications so you don’t miss our latest videos. Fold a rectangular piece of tissue paper in
half widthwise and then again lengthwise. With scissors or a blade knife and metal ruler,
cut vertical strips into the folded paper, leaving 5 centimetres or 2 inches of uncut
tissue at the folded end. If you’re working with a blade knife and
ruler, it’s best to work on a cutting matt to protect the work surface. Unfold the sheet and carefully straighten
entangled paper strips. Roll up the uncut centre section, then twist
firmly and bend into a loop. Fasten the tassel with a small piece of wire. Optionally, decorate the base of the tassel
with washi tape to make it look even prettier. We’re using gold glitter washi tape for
extra shimmer. String up the tassel on a cord or ribbon,
and trim their ends if desired. Using this technique, you can create tassels
in various sizes, measurements for those are listed in the description. Many thanks for watching! Click on our logo to subscribe for more and
