#DIY How to upcycle CDs into vitreous mosaic tiles

Place your CD (not DVD) face up Make a little scratch on the surface Use ducktape to remove the film It’s easily removed Repeat this action until the CD is completely clean=) Use a piece of cotton soaked with alcohol to clean it That way you’ll remove that green paint Put the CD on a gridded surface to use as a guide I used a gridded notebook sheet Mark 2×2 cm squares with a cutter and a ruler (be careful!) Cut the CD through the lines with strong scissors Plenty of plastic squares! Paint one face of the square with acrylic paint Then put another square over that Place the squares on a baking dish covered with aluminum foil Repeat with all the colors you like You will bake the tiles in a moderate oven for 5 or 7 minutes Don’t lose sight of them because they can burn if you get distracted After a few minutes they will begin to melt forming some bubbles Carefully detach the tiles from the foil They look like glass! Tell us in the comments where you would use these beautiful mosaics=) I hope you liked it.
See you next time!
