Hello! How are you? Today we will make a cardboard folder for letter or A4 sheets. The list of materials is in the information box. I will use this cardboard because it is the one I have but you can use the carton of a large cereal box. Fold it in half. we’ll cover the inside first. I will use these letter size cardstock because I do not have sheets that cover the whole cardboard. I will place this piece In the middle but first I will trim it a bit. I have these two pieces to make the pockets and one-inch strips of cardstock or two centimeters wide to make the pockets and attach them to the base. Fold them in half, and cut corners diagonally. We’re just going to stick these strips on two sides. Stick the pocket to the base. Do the same with the other piece by gluing the strips on these sides. To cover the outside I will also use A4 paper because you have to work with what you have. I will put strips of washi tape on the entire cardstock as decoration and glue to the base. Place contact paper to protect the folder, before putting it you can place a label with your data of school or subject. Remove the excess. I like to pass a rounded tip object over the edge to make it bend easier. Cut corners diagonally without leaving a little gap on the tip of the carton. On the sides at the height of the pocket make a cut in “V” with that it does not interfere with the pocket opening. Paste the longest parts first and then the shortest. For closing I am going to use this elastic band that I will hold with a brad. Make a hole in the middle. I didn’t measure. Insert the brad in the elastic band and then into the cardboard. Open the brad and hold it by sticking a piece of cardstock on top. To protect this fold area, I will apply a couple of layers of Mod Podge. Ready, we have the folder done. You can include some information in the pockets and cover them with contact paper as well. I hope you get inspire with this video.
