DIY Fairy Dust: Magic Glitter Potions | Quick and Easy Kid Friendly Craft | The Magic Crafter

“The Magic Crafter” Today we are going to learn how to make some magical fairy dust. Because who doesn’t need some extra sparkles and magic in their life??!?! So, now that we have some magical sparkles all over the place, let’s gather our materials and get this party started! Before you can do any magic making, you have to make sure that you have all of the ingredients that you need first. The number one thing you are going to need is a vial of some sort to hold your fairy dust in. I’m using a glass one with a cork stopper, but if you can find a plastic vial, that would be great! That way, if you drop it it will be less likely to break and scatter fairy dust / Pixie Dust everywhere. You are also going to want a mixing bowl. A Teaspoon. (tsp) And a Tablespoon (TBSP) You will also want some white glitter. Some purple glitter. Some Cellophane chunks of glitter. I think they call it “Cello Glitter?” I am also going to use some superfine smokey blue colored glitter. And some superfine glow-in-the-dark glitter. And wait! You aren’t done yet! You are also going to need a piece of paper, to use as a funnel to get your fairy glitter into your vial. Aaaand lastly, you are going to need a magic wand. Or… something else to stir the glitter with. Just so you can get everything mixed up so you can get all of your colors blended. Once you have all of the materials that you need, grab your magic wand, and let’s make some fairy dust! We are going to start out with the Cellophane Glitter Chunks. I’m going to take my tablespoon, And I am going to measure out… oops! about three tablespoons of the cellophane. Next, I am going to take my purple glitter, and I am going to measure out one tablespoon of that. And dump it in there with the cellophane. After that, I am going to add some of the white glitter. Do two tablespoons of this. Next, we are going to move on to the superfine glitter. I am going to measure out one tablespoon of that. (I already put some in there, because I had a little bit of an accident with it! ๐Ÿ˜ฎ ) And just dump it in there. And now for the last bit of glitter! I am going to take my smokey-blue colored superfine glitter, and I am going to add two teaspoons of that. Now that you have all of the glitter added in to your mixing bowl, take your magic wand (or I guess, if you want, you could use a spoon or another stir-stick!) And I want you to stir up all of your fairy dust. There you go! Now it is beautiful!!! Once you have your magical fairy dust blended, take your vial, and take the top off of it. Set the top aside. Now take your paper (or if you have a funnel, that’s great too!) and roll it up so that it is a cone-shape with a little opening at the bottom. Like that… And now, you are going to stick this in the top of your vial, and we are going to pour in the fairy dust through the funnel. Once you have put all of your fairy dust into your vial, you can stick the top back on… And there you go! You have a beautiful vial of fairy dust. It’s ready to make magic whenever you need it. :3 Just give it a shake… pour some out, and let the magical glitter fly! Thank you guys for watching! 8. FOR EASY FILING USE A MEASURING SPOON AND WATER TO MEASURE THE BOTTLE, then use the same amount of glitter for a perfect filling and no mess or mistakes (you could use the same technique to make really accurate layers, draw a line, fill it with a spoon of water, line, spoon, line, spoon, then use same measurement for adding glitter)

  9. I have never seen a 1/3 to half full fairy dust bottle. I will not be using this recipe. Sounding like Glenda the Good Witch doesn't make ypur crafts better.๐Ÿ™„

  11. take a beautiful flower blossom and crush it inside of a strainer over a bowl and collect the liquid that come off (there wont be very much so add a little water to it as well) and mix it in with the fairy dust with a pinch of sand and shake and them let dry. that will give you life essence fairy dust.

  13. Hey just wondering. Where do you buy the potion bottles? I've been looking everywhere and cant find anything.

  14. Or, if you don't like to put micro plastics into the environment or landfill and want to do the same exact thing but in a healthy way for the environment… please look up eco glitter (glitter that breaks down and dissolves into nothing so it does not pollute our lakes, rivers and oceans) and natural powder pigments(lots of them can be combined in the form of colored micas. And yes, if you are concerned about mica labor, there are even synthetic environmentally safe micas being produced!) there are also glitters that are biodegradable and safe for the skin…. just ask your local soap maker who cares about the environment… they will know a good source near you….

  15. I recently got a bunch of tiny holographic star glitter, so I totally wanna make this with a galaxy theme

  16. tysm! This was super useful! I used it for my ren faire costume (a witch/peasant and a mix of one of my personas)
