Crafts n Beer #03 Sculpting a Miniature Dragon Head in Super Sculpey for D&D – Beard on and Craft!🍺

Cheers Crafters!
Today we are goin to sculpt a dragonhead, a DRAGONHEAD, you know the big feisty one. A sculpture i will use in my next craft. ..so be sure to subscribe to see the endresult of that! So lets wake this one, shall we?! So we start to do the wire armature from a few paper clips or regulare steel-wire be sure you make the armature smaller then the size you are planing for the sculpture,
couse the clay obvious build some. I have just started with the sculpting, so i aint doin the armature as an professional …yet, Also remember it doesnt matter what you are doing, what project or craft you are working on – it always pays out in the end, to leave sloppy outside the door. [Holgar] …Oi, what you naggin bout? Dragonhead ey? To spiecy ey?…need some help from a real man, do ya!? ..What? no, plea, please stay under that rock, if i need your expertise ..i promise, i send you a pigeon, mkay? So, instead of glueing it together as i am doing here, solder the pieces instead, or spin them so they sit properly together – because the glue melts when you bake the sculpture in the oven, now who could guess that!? [Holgar] Well, i can think of a few. Next step will be to cover the wire with green stuff so the super sculptey gets a better hold when putting that on, Try to do it as neat as you can. [Holgar] yeah dont do like this kluts – do it better, do it proper! And dont forget to sand the wire, it makes it easier to add the greenstuff. And now finally, what we been workin for, the forming of the dragonhead itself, se how it takes form, and makes thouse changes that we feel fit better in a sculpture than in a sketch. remember the sketch is just a guideline,
nothing is set in stone at this stage. And its also here we will see if the groundwork with the greenstuff and armature is up to scratch. To make it easier to work with the sculptey, use some form of grease on the tools so it dont stick. [Holgar] ai, use the crackbutter, after a whole day of hard labour you will have enought to fill a booowl …Hahahahah yeah why not, that sounds like a awful good idea! you noticed how i put the emphasis in awful, now did yah!? [Holgar] Well, its there and its freee …isnt it! One NEVER waste gold when no need to! Finish it by laying the dragonhead on the ovenpaper and show it into the owen and follow the instructions on the back of the super sculptey pakage. So, now you have a little something to put on the wall over your bed, or just do as i am, use it in a craft.
well, cheers and remember – Beard on and craft! [Holgar] ai, Now be a bear, make some likes, say somethin – anything! and share with your lad and ladies. Beard on and stay crafty!
