Art Passion Mehndi class 7 : Learn checks and Grid || Infinity checks

Hello. namaste how are you all today? Welcome to Art Passion online mehendi classes Today is our 7 th class and we are going to talk about checks and grid Through our worksheet material I have shared plenty of ideas and variation with all of you and as usual you can buy this material either from my website or from my supplier Actually I have talked a lot about checks I have already shared many different checks with all of you I have shared many techniques and tricks too actually I feel I have nothing left to talk bout checks because its not possible to teach each and every checks within 15 to 20 minutes class thats why I would request you all that If you wants to learn different types of checks then please do watch my embellishment playlist because there so many different types from simple to complicated checks idea I have shared with all of you now a days getting very popular artist using them as hero element in mehendi design that types of checks also I have shared I have shared tricks where how to use variation to come up with new checks designs all the time As I told you in filler element class too that by changing base and layer elements how you can create your own filler elements exact same way in checks too we have some fundamental points if you follow them then you can create your own checks design using very few basic elements like grid style layering, gulf leaves frill flowers and use of lines using all these elements you can create so many different checks the first thing we talk about is the most important part of checks is its grid Grid means its construction lines most of the times we use these two types of grid foundation for our checks straight and slanted grid most of the times we use these grids for simple checks whenever we make complicate checks that time we use these three types of grids for that. So basic fives types of grids we have So whenever you see any new checks first study what type of grid have been used because many types of checks we see but we could not figure out how they have been created thats why its very important to understand whenever you see any new types of checks find out what types of grid have been used to create that checks see types of grid have been changed but filler element have remain same even though every time it gives different look see here we have only changed grids but the element we have used inside the gulf leaves thats what we have used in all style but different ways and thats how we have different checks every time this is the secret trick behind checks so this is about types of grid then comes layering of checks layering means line variations we use to create grids for example one line, two line, three lines ,thin thick lines frill lines , zigzag line so in short combination of various lines so that way which layer you are using thats also make lots of difference in over all look of checks checks is one of such versatile element that have been popular since old times and it is still very popular in mehendi designs in old times we were using simple checks mostly those chess board checks were popular in modern age our inspirations comes form tiles, geometrical designs and we combine them to create something more magical and I have already shard such modern style checks but today we will sure take one checks as our practice and that would be our infinity checks in that checks grids are invisible but you can only see fillers in checks set ups so we will take such example during our practice what is the importance of checks in mehendi design and what are the basic points we have to keep in mind while drawing checks lets talk about that first then I will share my own mehendi designs with all of you so you have clear understanding about importance of checks and its placement in designs so your mehendi design look beautiful and same time if you want balance in your design means check is structural geometrical element where flowers are flowy elements so its importance to find balance between these two different nature elements in which part of deigns they will look more beautiful its important to understand where to use simple checks and on which place we can add complicated checks and we will talk about it using my designs as a example to understand this part as I have talked about it earlier whenever we do layering when we draw lines for checks I prefer my cone does not touch the surface in short I try to drape lines for layering not that much but it stays away from surface then I get perfect line and when I make second layer for checks means when I create another line on top of first layer that time i am more careful that my cone does not touch the surface because if it does then it will smudge the lines the junction area will get smudge when you are sitting near or under the fan that time because I have faced this many times your lines can fly away and can create mess because your are draping line that can fly away due to sudden gush of air flowing in that types of situation keep cone near to surface don’t let those lines fly away so be careful in such situations many times it happens that when we draw lines for our checks we don’t get equally spaced lines and it happens with everyone if that is happening with you all the time then. practice constantly to get perfectly equally spaced lines even though you are facing this problem then make reference lines first and then draw perfect Lins on top of those reference lines what happens during second layer that you start with one line and then you get perfect square but eventually you messed up with other lines and you don’t get perfect square shape If you are making simple checks then its not a big problem If you don’t get perfect square shapes but if you are creating complicated checks designs specially when you need this types of grid design then those mistakes looks very obvious so in such situations also you can use reference lines to create your checks If possible plan what types of checks you want to draw So first plan what types of checks you want to draw then start drawing layering lines for that checks many times it happens that you don’t draw only straight lined checks Its not possible that in all mehendi design you have only straight checks many times it happens that we have few elements already drawn as part of design and then you are progressing in design with checks so in short you wants checks in between odd boundaries and you are planing slanted checks in that space in such situations never start drawing checks from extreme corners end always try to start from center part of that section and then according to size of checks draw lines on both sides of that first line If lines are very long than you can draw lines with more than one strokes many times while draping lines we end up changing angle and again while drawing second layer also don’t start from corner. because it happens that you start from corners and you cannot maintain right angle and then you get diamond or rhombus shapes checks If you are making simple designs like this then its not a big problem however if you are creating some design where you need perfect square in that situation use reference lines and draw perfect line that has 90 degree angle then extend that line and using that first line as reference draw al other lines in the layer This way you will get perfect squarish checks even though you are drawing slanted grid many times in our rush and due to our habit of drawing lines from corner we end up messing things in designs its our habit even though we are making straight checks first we create boundary lines without any planing and then we start draping checks layers and towards the end we realised we don’t have enough space this becomes our habit if you are stuck with such habit because I had similar habit that I have broken after dedicated hard work thats why plan what types of checks do you want then from top to bottom and from right to left only you can draw check don’t think that way as I gave you example with this slanted checks specially with uneven position start from center and than progress on both sides thats why its important where exactly you are positioning checks in your design for example you draw this types of border you created boundary for border and decorated both sides of border and then you start creating checks in between that border and without much thought you start layering for border and then you messed up with those layering and in such situation you will feel panic and anxious that will leads to many more mistakes in your designs thats why before decorating sides first draw your grid for your checks then go ahead with other designs and then you can come back to checks slanted and uneven borders could be challenging for perfect checks design and trust me I have does those mistakes no with few examples from my designs we will see where we can use checks and how we can you use them I am sharing few of my own creation with all of you In this particular design I needed good speed and intricacy at a same time so to balance my speed and intricacy of design I used this types of checks in my design with use of such checks we can speed up design without compromising intricacy of it in this design you can see in this corner I have used very simple checks this types of checks gives us speed and could be useful as filler elements too and look beautiful at a same time specially the area below index finger could be challenging while planing design so for such places this types of simple checks are very useful because it gives speed and looks beautiful too because we plane for main wrist corner and that top corner designs depends on size of main corner design sometimes we have big space there or sometimes small and thats why we get confused what types of element to use in that corner so we can use simple checks designs in this types of small corner areas on the wrist you can see I have doesn’t very simple checks with line element these two designs where I already talk about the first so on second design too for speed work I use simple checks on wrist checks are very helpful for finger designs see in this design for this corner I used simple checks because we had elaborated floral arrangement for main element , and in this other design peacock element was main element. thas why on sides we use simple checks as filler already we had enough floral elements so to give balance to entire composition we needed structural element and that’s why we used checks so that way we filled space, use geometrical element and brought beauty to entire designs , see I use simple checks in peacock body and for fingers too because we have used main elements on palm thats why we used simple checks for wrist on back sides of design my Custmer wanted simple design but same time she wanted full hand design so in such scenario this type of big leafy checks are very useful let me show you entire design as you can see this is entire bridal design with so many hero elements such as sindoor ceremony dhol, shahenayi, knot tying we have lord krishna too and then floral designs was also part of it so in this case to fill that wrist area we needed some simple geometrical element both the wrists as you can see I have used very simple checks to give break to complicated design we have used simple checks in fingers too see so such simple checks are useful to give break to floral designs and to gain speed for completing entire design fast now this design is very simple and there isn’t any hero element in this design. thats why on wrist we have used advance level grid and checks design so with the use of advance level checks you can hyped the simple simple in this design we have used checks in one straight vertical border and for corner also we have used checks as filler so in short such checks are very useful to increase speed and maintain intricate look of design one more design on wrist we have use elaborated checks then this side corner we have to fill it but same time we don’t need any frill element there because already we have used that on many places. thas why we took simple checks there in this peacock also we had floral elements thats why we used simple checks there the back side of the design in same design set yes this one so you can see I have used checks netting with leafy vines this way ,if you are using checks as main element then you can use on wrist or use on arm because those are the spaces where you have have enough space to create nice checks see in this design also I have used checks in side corner so this is the way check is very versatile element. so if to gain speed use simple checks and to make design advance use advance level checks we have learnt many different types of checks so far to complete today’s class we will take infinity checks as our today’s practice. what is infinity checks ? it means the layering we use for this checks is invisible so layering lines cannot be seen only filler within thos lines/blocks are visible and thats why in infinity checks we use very faint reference lines for layering very faint barely seen. so we get borders to create design within but same times it does not stain dark so in the end only filler box could be seen any infinity design you draw always remember to use these types of faint reference lines as I explained earlier whenever we draw grid lines we always start from sides and corners but imagine this is your arm only centre checks would be clearly visible in design sides checks won’t be clearly visible in design thats why we have to draw proper perfect square in center thats why we will draw that square first see I am drawing perfect 90 degree line first then extending that line the angle our hand moves also create difference while layering our checks grid thats why we have to be careful that time thats why reference liens are useful. because we can erase them to correct our mistakes so here it is our layering lines with faint reference lines for our checks now we will fill designs in between this blocks so the design we will use as filler only that would be visible when we will get our stain I have shown such infinity border design in one of my mehendi design video if I find that video then. I will show you that video in this corner through picture in picture so you will have idea how does such infinity borders looks in your design you can use any designs in this boxes I am using very simple design here so this types of checks are called infinity checks so we create layers with reference lines and then fill it with various filler elements when we get stain then only blocks of designs will look so it gives block printing or blocks designs types of look you might have seen this types of printing on our sarges and dress materials and the inspiration for such checks and birders comes from those garments with this I finish our today’s checks and grid class soon we will meet with my new video till then stay blessed stay inspired. take care everyone thank you bye bye C U
