– Those stints stay, and they
cannot be removed essentially. So there is no reason to remove them, but it’s technically not
possible to remove them. One of the issues with the
stint is that they tend to clot. And because they tend to clot, then patients need to
remain on medications to prevent the clotting
and to keep the stint open.
