Hello everyone, I’m MASA. Today, I’d like to share a recipe of making tasty rice dish. It’s called [Japanese] Omuraisu Fu Chizu Kimchi Chahan. Kimchee Fried Rice Omelet Basically, you make fried rice first and then you cover it with egg sheet. So if you’d like to try fried rice with a bit different style, you can give it a try. It’s really easy. So, let’s get started. (1/4 onion) (Cut into slices) (1 Green onion) (Cut the white part on a long bias) (Chop the green part into dices) (Sliced pork belly—100 g) (Slice into bite size) (Kimchee—100 g) (Marinate the pork with Kimchee juice) (Doesn’t have to be long.
Just dip each slices with the juice.) (A bit oil) (Put to medium heat) (Onions & bias-cut green onion) (Sauté until translucent) (Move them aside) (Marinated pork belly) (Evenly stir-fry them until colored) (Mix with the vegetables) (Kimchee) [Cooking Point] Stir-frying kimchee helps to mellow the acidity. (Steamed rice—around 150 g) [Cooking Point] This is day-old rice taking out from the fridge. [Cooking Point] You can either use cold rice or
just-cooked rice. (Mix them evenly) (1/2 tsp brown sugar) [Cooking Point] Sugar can also help mellow the acidity and moderate the spiciness of Kimchee. (Black pepper－a small amount) [Cooking Point]Taste it. Add salt or soy sauce if needed. (Turn off the heat) (Place about half of the fried rice into the dish) (Mozzarella cheese— around 100 g) (Grind the cheese and put them on the fried rice) (Place the rest of the fried rice on top of that) (Add another layer of ground cheese) [Cooking Point] You can also use shredded pizza cheese or cheese slices. (2 eggs) (Stir evenly) (1 tsp butter) (Put to medium-low heat) (Wait until the butter melts) (Whole egg liquid) (Gently stir-fry it and heat it up evenly) (When it starts to solidify, shape it around the same size as the dish. (Turn off the heat) (Place the egg on top of the fried rice) [Cooking Point] It’s also ok, of course, to use a round plate instead~! ^^b (chopped green onions-green part) (White sesame) Ok, here is a plate of delicious Kimchee Fried Rice Omelet. Omelet and fried rice are both my favorite. So, let’s dig in. See this stringy cheese~ [Japanese] Dewa itadakimasu It’s just satisfying~~ [Cooking Point] Pork belly going with kimchee has already been an invincible combination. Stir-frying them with some steamed rice makes the base a complete dish already. Adding cheese and egg sheet on the top gives the dish some extra flavor and texture, so once you take a bite, you can feel the satisfaction. It’s really tasty. The kimchee I use this time actually starts turning sour.
[Cooking Point] Releasing acids=Fermenting
Not rotting However, when I taste it, the kimchee doesn’t have heavy sour taste after heating. [Cooking Point] Also, cheese and egg can mellow down the acidity and spiciness. So overall, it doesn’t taste sour. [Cooking Point] People who are not fans of spicy food (eg: MASA) can also enjoy this dish. Ok, so if you’d like to add some variety to your fried rice, You can give it a try. Thank you. (If you like this video, please press Like &
