折り紙 変身キューブ Origami Transforming Cube

Origami toy #2 Star Flower Pieces of magnet sheet are glued inside
(optional) Triangle Pyramid Dodecahedron With 4 cubes can combine into other shapes (magnets inside) May be there are other shapes you can make Use a sheet of 1 : 1.4 paper , like;
A4 (21cm × 29.7cm / 8.3″×11.6″) or
cut US letter into 7.86″ x 11″ If you want include magnetic sheets,
choose a thin paper, like a copy paper. Divide into 8 pieces A block can be made out of the 1/8 sheet
(Total, 6 blocks you need) (I ‘m using a double sized paper) Make creases like this
(the top and the bottom are different) On the top,
connect the corners diagonally On the bottom,
make 45° angles turn all the creases into mountain folds ※Don’t make a crease here※ Now, push only the center of X
and open it Repeat the same Turn into a block Insert the flaps into back of the triangles Can be closed by tucking the bottom triangle into the top Use a toothpick or something if it’s difficulte This is the block Make hinges to connect them Divide one of the 7 sheets into 4 By the way, the piece becomes 1:1.4 every time when you fold in half. It’s interesting. (I’m going to using a double sized paper again) Make a diamond shape That’s all for the hinge Attache to the block Before that, glue the part not to open easily Put the glue on base of the triangle For the 2nd one, attach a hinge to the opposite side Connect them top and bottom alternately (It’s more practical to connect first, then shape the block, actually) Joint all the 6 blocks like this Glue the last hinge to the first block
as the same manner Done! How to place magnet sheets (optional) I recommend a thin but strong magnet sheet
but this one (about 1.5mm thick) from $1 shop barely works Cut 12 pieces
about 8mm × 2cm (0.3″ x 0.8″) each Glue the magnet to the back of the each narrow triangle. Open from here Paste them like this ●Tip●
often magnets slide when stick together,
so, adjustment is needed when you glue them If you left it like this for hours, the cube can stay by itself, even it cannot at the first time.

  9. Kind of confusing at beginning about size of paper. Hard to understand, it took me forever to figure it out. I kept trying to measure the exact dimensions of your paper after you started folding but the sizes you were working with wouldn’t match to what you had initially cut. Very confusing to me………. finally understood but used my ow sized paper….1: 1.48 or whatever. LOL

  10. Hi Sweet Paper, Please kindly answer my query. I have taken A4(29.7 cm x 21 cm) Then divide it into 8 (7.43 cm x 10.5 cm) pieces. However at 1:23 of your video you have a piece cut out that is over 15cm on the longest side. When did you cut this size sheet? I should be grateful if you can reply soonest. thanks
