吉本キューブ【折り紙】 Origami Yoshimoto Cube

Modular Origami “Yoshimoto Cube”
(Glue may be needed) Use A4 copy paper or
cut Letter size paper into11″x 7.86″
I’ll explain how to make out of origami at the end. You need 4-sheets :
(1-sheet to make 4-mini-cubes) (2-sheets to build a big cube) (4-sheets to build a set of Yoshimoto Cube) First, make a pair of mini-cubes.
These cubes are mirror symmetric, so the folding directions are opposite. Cut 1/4 sheet off Divide into 8 Dot pattern→the star side
White→the box side Cut at the 2nd line This sheet will be use as an angle guide and hinges later (2x sized model) Superimpose the edges and the crease lines
of the 2-sheets The angle should be accurate to make good-shaped cubes Do the same for the opposite direction
to make triangles With the first cube, fold from the right side Make creases alternately With the 2nd cube, fold from the left side Flip it over Mountain fold at the first triangle, then valley fold next. Repeat like a “fan”. Use a glue for shaping a cube easily
(Optional) Fold the triangle on the right side Tuck the triangle (blue) inside
and place it back of the next triangle (red)
(go clockwise) (Push the square papers inside against the back,
If the triangles stuck with them) Insert the end into inside With the 2nd cube, do it oppositely
(counterclockwise) Glue the end to fix the shape
(optional) I use an iron (middle to high heat) to dry the glue fast When finished, check if they are mirror symmetrical Make the hinges out of the “angle guide” Cut it into 4-pieces Make 2 creases (2-3 mm apart) Insert the hinge into a pocket
(cannot insert into a triangle) Glue the hinge
(otherwise they fall a part when you are playing) A pair is done! Make 3 more pairs How to connect
(be careful) Right and left : Joints on the bottom Center : Joints on the top Connect all the sides with hinges The first box is done!
(Make the other box with the same manner) If you want to make with Origami, Cut in half Divide into 6 Use the “angle guide” made out of A or B size sheet
to make the triangles Do the same with the rest

  1. This it the most difficult and time consuming Yoshimoto Cube among the three. I recommend starting with the "Origami Transforming Cube (Yoshimoto Cube #3)" https://youtu.be/Fv8bNiGtAhg , if you're going to make the three all. #2 is also easier https://youtu.be/8PkIZX6Vmc4

  2. As someone who enjoys actual ORIGAMI, I've learned the hard way over time that you should always watch the video before attempting to fold the model because sometimes authors do not state at the beginning of their video that you need to use GLUE, which makes the design not actually origami as advertised #WasteOfTime

  3. 動画をゆっくりにしたい方は画面上の3つ丸が並んでいるボタン(または歯車マーク)から再生速度を調節してください。

You can select playback speed by clicking the three dots button at the top right (or the gear icon at the bottom right for PC) 😉

  4. 素敵…!✨
    折り紙を買ってあげても色紙として切って使うだけの姪っ子達に作って見せてあげたいw
    折り紙の魅力を解ってもらえるはず!( ・ω・)✨
