Wise Fisherman There lived one fisherman on the shore of the wide sea. He was kind and clever man, and that’s why he often was visited for advice. He was known as wise man and indeed was giving clever and wise advices to everyone, who needed some help. The fisherman decided to move away from the people long ago. He was tired from those bustling people. And now was enjoying the solitude and calmness. “I’ve lived enough and I’ve seen so many things that I really deserved peace and rest.” – thought the man. The fisherman wasn’t disturbing anyone, lived alone in a small hut. He spent his whole life on the sea shore and wanted to pass the last years watching the sea. One evening the fisherman was sitting in his armchair, was resting and watching the sea. Suddenly he heard knocking on the door. The fisherman shuddered and asked with surprise: “Who is it be so late at my abandoned home?” The unknown voice answered from behind the door: “I am wealth.” The wise man answered with tired voice: “Once I was rich too, but it didn’t bring me happiness. I have everything I need and and I want nothing more. Go and visit someone else, someone who really is hard up and really needs you.” Next evening the man was shuddered by knocking again. “And now who lost its way and came up to me?” – thought the fisherman. “I am love.” – said modest voice. “Once I was very fond of and my sweetheart loved me too. Now I love every animated thing and how my heart can admit more.” The man was not left in peace even the third evening. Again there was a knock on the door. “I’m friendship.” – said the warm voice. The wise fisherman smiled, happy stood up from the chair and went to the door quickly. “The friendship has no time and age, welcome!” Gallantly welcomed the guest and invited in his house. Suddenly it turned out that the guest wasn’t alone. The wise man was surprised looking at his guests. Behind the friendship there were wealth and love. “But I opened the door to friendship…” – asked the surprised fisherman. The guests answered the confused fisherman with smile: “You’ve lived so many years, you are so wise and experienced man and how didn’t you know this truth: Friendship is never alone. Friendship is love and wealth itself, these three devoted friends…”
