Hello. Tamila Vdovina is with you. I think everyone knows, or at least guess,
what ART – THERAPY is. For those who first come across this term,
I will try to explain its meaning and characterise this direction in psychotherapy. But in more detail I will talk about this
in other videos. And we will get to know each other and try
to understand some terms. ART – THERAPY – comes from English. art “art”. This direction in psychotherapy is associated
with psychological correction. The direction is based on the application
for the therapy of art and creativity. Usually, art therapy refers to therapy with
fine art, with the goal of influencing the psycho-emotional state of a person. The goal of art therapy is aimed at comprehending
the harmony of the mental state, and even more simply, the state of mind, through the
development of the ability of self-expression and self-knowledge. What is the value of using art for therapeutic
purposes? With the help of art, one can express at a
symbolic level a variety of feelings and emotions: love, hatred, resentment, anger, fear, joy,
grief, delight, etc. Just remember the picture of MUNK SCREAM. Emotion is essentially a mental process that
takes place within us and causes shock and excitement throughout the body. And improper handling of emotions affects
our mental health. Emotions may not be expressed correctly or
not expressed at all. Both will have their consequences in the future. So, this technique involves the harmonisation
of the state of the human psyche, which occurs in the process of drawing in the process of
creative expression. Adrian Hill in 1938, when describing his work
with tuberculosis patients in sanatoriums, first coined the term “art therapy”, which
literally means art treatment. During World War II, art therapy methods were
used in the United States when working with children who were taken out of Nazi camps. At the beginning of its development, art therapy
was based on the psychoanalytic views of Z. Freud and C. Jung, according to which, the
final product of a person’s artistic activity, in any form: drawing, painting, sculpture,
installation, expresses his unconscious mental processes. In 1960, the American Art Therapy Association
was created in America. And so is material consolidation: Art therapy
is a pictorial therapy based on visual art. What may be the prerequisites for art therapy? Let’s start with the mood first. So, if you are in a bad mood, this is the
first indication for art therapy. But if you are in a good mood, you can improve
it even more and just be happy. And further this list can be replenished with
such unfavourable factors and emotions as stress, depression, difficulties of emotional
development, emotional instability, impulsivity, experiencing emotional rejection by other
people, interpersonal conflicts, dissatisfaction with family relationships, loneliness, jealousy,
increased anxiety, fears, phobias, low self-esteem. Art therapy sets the following tasks and directs
the creative process into the mainstream in order to give way to aggression and other
negative feelings and emotions, to alleviate and get rid of the state of depression, to
improve and develop self-control, to increase self-esteem and develop your creative abilities,
which will help implement all this. It happened
That I involuntarily became a victim of my experiment. This was due to communication in social networks
and I was just trying to solve one internal problem that bothered me ….
And I fell in love …. Although I now understand that it was just
an emotional addiction I suffered from some kind of pain all the
time And she constantly cried and suffered. I did not read any literature on this subject,
but intuitively I felt that I had to free myself from this state and I did it. I wrote a story. Which is called the effect of presence or
a monologue about love, feelings and fog … And I put all my feelings and pain there. It’s like I took them from inside myself
and moved them to a virtual plane, placing them on my hard drive. And when sometimes I re-read all this, it
seems to me that it was not with me, but with another person. Poems, music, and paintings are also born. Almost all creativity is a product that is
based solely on emotions and if you notice that the more painful emotions are, the more
they are in demand on the market. Some people produce this product, while others
consume it. And it already depends on who you like, or
rather WHO. Because behind each work is a personality. You can splash out love, joy, sadness, and
anything else …. Including the disease … And everything that our soul touches will
certainly find a response in the depths of another soul, it will certainly happen …
A word, a look … now or later, but everything finds its response ..
In life, creativity often helped me not only to survive some unpleasant and sad periods,
but also to overcome crisis economic situations. And now, many people specifically master some
sort of creative skills, as a means of basic or additional income. With the help of creativity, I saw and felt
what was previously hidden from me. And I thought. A similar problem exists in many people. They cannot conquer this pain within themselves. The pain of love. The pain of separation. The pain of parting. Pain of loss. Or even just pain, from an illness …
Or psychological dependence on someone, or dependence on a bad habit …
But we can learn to manage our feelings and emotions through creativity, as an auxiliary,
and sometimes the main means. And this is quite real. And it doesn’t matter which type of art
you prefer to express yourself. Everything is fine: music, literature, dancing,
fine art, photo art, modeling, and this is not a complete list. The main thing is to express what is in the
depths of your subconscious. And so, what is the challenge facing us? We need to enable this burden, which is pulling
us to the bottom, to go outside. Intuitively explore all the dark and hidden
corners of our consciousness and splash out. There are times when we ourselves don’t
know what bothers us, because there are old diseases, psychological traumas, which we
sometimes do not even suspect ourselves. Perhaps someone can find another way for themselves
and come to the same goal. For example, using religion and its sacraments
or meditation and certain exercises. But not everyone succeeds and not everything
is as safe sometimes as it seems at first glance in religions and various techniques. And that could be a separate topic for the
video. But drawing is really the safest thing, like
other forms of art. Sometimes we just confuse ignoring a problem,
forgetting about it, with solving the problem. But if we did not solve a problem at one time,
could not get rid of it in any way, it will destroy and burden us at the subconscious
level. For example, as it happens, just one of the
options. A child does not receive love in childhood. His psyche will be traumatised. And only if he meets a loving partner, or
an experienced psychotherapist, psychologist, can he to some extent compensate for this
condition. Who are despots, tyrants, monsters, maniacs? These are people who were somehow deprived
of affection and Love in childhood and were subjected to psychological trauma. These are people with an injured psyche. And the internal state of each of us is reflected
in the whole society as a whole. How does this happen? In any state there are people who are opposed
to corruption, but there are those nearby who generate it. The welfare of the state will be balanced
and in a state of dependence on the proportional ratio of these people. Or imagine that someone had first love. For example, a girl leaves a guy. But he didn’t leave her at the subconscious
level. This situation will affect his entire subsequent
life and the lives of all members of his family. How? He can make a brawl, freak out, get nervous
and the worst thing is that at the same time he himself may not suspect what is happening
to him. People who are somehow traumatized in childhood
at the psychological level can become maniacs and killers. Onoprienko. Hitler
I want to discuss some personalities in a separate video, including Hitler’s personality. I draw your attention to one important fact. The fact of the presence or absence of Love
in us and in society is fundamental in the direction of movement of us and society. All psychological problems that are born in
us to one degree or another are associated with some kind of conflict situations, misunderstanding,
moral and physical injuries, often rooted in childhood. Now a very large number of people around the
world receive the status of participants in hostilities, many victims of sexual and other
forms of violence. I will not list all categories in need of
rehabilitation. But no one will ever do for you what you should
do for yourself and for your loved ones. Just Love …
Learn to love yourself first. Correctly love yourself. This will show you the path of love for another
person. If your loved ones feel your love, they will
become better … If children will feel and see your love, they
will teach their children by example … Society as a whole will be better. The next thing I want to focus on is the fact
that no one can help you if you yourself do not put your efforts and desires into it. And another, very important point, is that
NOT ALL is LOVE, What we call this word. You need to know how to raise children, how
to communicate in the family, so as not to harm yourself and each other. Since I am an artist, I want to help you learn
